Chapter 16- Bringing the Action To Myself
The beeping of my monitor, woke me up from a deep sleep. I could not, for the life of me, remember where I was. The last thing I remember is being in school. And talking to Alexander Drake.
"He's awake." the nurse said, making my eyes snap open.
My bed shook with movement as someone latched onto the side of the bed.
"Is he alright?" a voice asked
"He's fine. Just rest that hand a bit." the nurse warned me.
I tried to make out my surroundings. A shadow forming a figure was at the side of my bed. And a needle was sticking out of my arm.
"Just rest, Bryce." another voice said, the same one from earlier.
I looked in the direction the voice came from but all I saw was a dark figure. My eyes couldn't focus enough to tell who it was. It was a tall man or boy, with warm skin, I could feel the heat from here.
"Who are you?" I asked
"Just promise me something Bryce, stay away from Alexander Drake. Stay away from him, okay? He's trouble." and then the figure was gone. Just like that.
Stay away from Alexander Drake. Why would anyone want to stay away from a man like that?
A carzy person.

A couple days of bed rest and I was back in school, back in the hell hole of this place. I didn't do much while I was in bed rest. Ate. Slept. Read. Watched T.V. That's it.
But school was interesting. Remembering the voice that told me to stay away from Alexander Drake, I tried to think why. It said that he was trouble. I just don't know what to believe anymore. I guess I'll try and ignore him but he likes to talk to me.
And I was right. As soon as I got to my locker, he was there waiting for me.
"You know, I can get my books myself." I rolled my eyes.
"Wow, someones grouchy." he sounded surprised.
"Well when someone breaks my wrist, " I held up the cast around my arm, " I don't get into a good mood." I remarked
"Well, I said I was sorry." he lied.
"No you did not! Unless it was when I was asleep for I don't know, 2 days." I informed him.
"Just let me help you out then." he pleaded
"I can get my own stuff!" I yelled in frustration.
He stood there, shocked that i would yell at him.
"Why are you yelling at me?" he asked intently.
I couldn't help but tell him, "Someone told me to stay away from you."
"Who?"
"I don't know, i couldn't make out his features."
He muttered something along the lines of " Great, him."
"What?" I asked.
"Nothing, apparently, 'you can get your own stuff'" he mocked and walked away, angry.
Well then.
*****************************
The next couple days, were better than expected. Alexander Drake left me alone as requested and i got my school work back up to current. Then the word got out to me. He was looking for me again.
I met him while I was getting my lunch.
"What do you want Alex?" I asked
"Well, it occured to me that you don't have a prom date."
"Oh God, help me."
"And I was wondering if you would be so kind as to be my date."
"Alex, I told you, I have a lot on my plate already."
"I know, I know and I want to help."
"Alexander Drake, my answer is..."
He interuppted me, "Just think about it," he grabbed my hand and kissed my hand, and left.
I rolled my eyes as I set down my lunch. I told him to leave me alone. But my thoughts were interuppted when someone pulled me away from the table. I couldn't tell who it was until we were in the hallway.
A tall, warm, handsome man had pulled me away from the table.
"Excuse me?"
"What are YOU doing talking to HIM?" he asked
"What are you talking about?"
"I told you to stay away from him." he informed
I realized what he was say by his structure. He was tall and his voice matched.
"That was you? Why would you of all people say that?" Now this was getting confusing.
"Of course. I forgot about that." he muttered, then he led me out of the front doors and into the parking lot. A Mercedes Benz was parked in the back of the school and he shoved me in.
When he got in the driver side, I immediately questioned him.
"Where are you taking me? Where are we going? Why me? Why are you talking to me? You're gonna regret this!"
"Stop complaining Jesus, I'm helping you." he yelled at me
I don't know if I'm crazy or not but I listened.
We arrived at a house that was as grand as the Titantic. He opened the door for me and dragged me into the house.
For some reason this felt so familiar. He pushed me inside and closed the door.
"What now?" a girl said then stopped right in the door way.
"I knew it wouldn't last long." she said.
"Shut up Cam, I need you to reverse it." he demanded
"Fine." she agreed. Then, in the blink of an eye, she was there, in front of me.
"Whoa," I put my hands up.
"Don't be such a baby, come here." she said, grabbing the sides of my head, then leaning in. She kissed me with the least amount of passion ever. But when our lips met, my vision went blank.
Then all the memories came back. Everything. Nick. Vampires. The Buyoron.
My vision came back in an instant and I was standing there, next to Cameron.
The first thing I thought was....
"You bastard." I muttered, ran at Nick and kick him as hard as I could, in the balls.
He doubled over in surprise.
"Weak spot?" I smirked
I heard Cameron laughing in the back.
"You bitch! I can't believe you actually would do that to me!" I yelled at her.
"He told me to!"
"And?"
He interrupted, " Well now that you know, I need to let you know something."
"What!" I frustratingly added
"Alexander Drake?"
"Yeah???"
"He's part of the Buyoron." he confessed.
