Chapter 20- A Love Triangle is Horrible Manners.

Jake's POV  (cause I know you would want it right now )

As the people past me on the streets, I kept thinking to myself, who would Bryce choose? He fell for Nick a long time ago, that doesn't mean he still loves him, does it? Right now, I just need to be on his good side, and I think I made it pretty clear that I am the good guy. That blood sucker just wants to kill him and-

My thoughts were interrupted by my wolf's whimpering. What is it?

Mate. Trouble. Hurt. Needs You Now.

I dropped the donuts and drinks and ran to my back to my apartment. I had only made it to the building when I realized who would've hurt him. Nick.

I clenched my teeth, trying to concentrate on his scent. His voice. His breathing. His heart beat.

Down the street, at least two miles down, left and then the next right. I opened my eyes. Nick, is dead. My mate is mine.

Bryce's scent made me follow many twists and turns. Nick was very good at hiding. I would know. When the vampires moved here, the werewolves weren't very happy. The vampires told us that they would not hurt us, but only hunt off our land. But they still hunted. This is different though, Bryce is my mate. Nick knows that, he sensed it on me earlier.

The twists and turns led me all the way to an abandoned warehouse in the East side of the city. I smelled the air for any traces of Bryce, and I found something that brought a tear to my eye. A blood trail led to the back of the warehouse and stopped at the back door.

Bryce's POV

When I regained consciousness, my arms were tied behind my back, and my legs were tied to a chair. I struggled to get out but the ropes didn't budge. Nick is evil. I knew Jake was good. Why didn't i just choose Jake right then and there. Then maybe if, Nick had gotten mad, Jake would have been there to protect me. I'm so stupid.

I could fell the throbbing on my face now, and I remembered that Nick had smacked me across the room.

Where was I anyways? I could see a light at the end of a narrow hallway but other than that, it was empty.

"Help, somebody!" I yelled. Thats when I heard it. There was a faint noise coming from the room down the hallway. It sounded like someone was fighting.

I shifted from side to side, wobbling the chair. Finally after a minute, the chair fell to the ground, breaking. As it broke, it let the rope loose on my arms. I landed on my bruised face so it took me a moment to let the pain subside.

I untied my legs and stood up. The light that was in the room down the hallway was no longer shining.

I headed towards the room, stepping on many shards of glass on the way. As I got closer to the door, the sounds of fighting got louder and louder.

"Just give up!" I heard someone shout.

"Never." the other muttered

Then more sounds of fighting. The light was back underneath the door. I opened it ans what I saw, tore me to pieces.

Nick had Jake pinned, hurting him. He started choking him, depriving him from air.

"No." I gasped

They didn't seem to notice my presence because neither of them turned towards me. No one else was in the room except us.

Then a sick idea came to me.

*twenty minutes earlier* Jake's POV

I opened the door, to an empty factory room. No one was here, but blood still made its way through the warehouse. I followed the trail of blood and Bryce's scent to a door. I went to open it but something slammed my body backwards.

"Funny, didn't know I had power? "

I was thrown forward, towards the door, I tried reaching for it but he threw me back again.

"I have more power than you'll ever imagine."

I stood up, "No fair. I won't use my wolf if you dont use your power."

There was silence. I used my senses to try and locate Nick, but before anything I was pushed to the ground. I looked up to see Nick standing there. I got up and put up my fists. This fight, is the best fight I'd ever be in. I smiled. And I am going to win.

Bryce's POV

I ran back to the room where I was being held captive in. The crunching of glass under my feet, proved my idea to be in motion. I carefully searched the ground for a piece of glass big enough to hold. I touched one that was about the size of a steak knife. Perfect. The glass didn't cut my hand when I picked it up or even when I pressed it up against my skin. I was going to have to break it. But only when the moment was right.

I quickly got up and made my way for the door. Jake was losing by the second, Nick was just too strong. But if he's distracted, Jake will have the advantage.

I walked into the room, seeing Jake's now pale face gave me enough motivation to do the insane.

"HEY NICK!" I yelled. He looked up and smirked,

"You can't save him." he menacingly said

I held up the glass piece in the air like it was a knife,

"What are you gonna do with that? Stab me?" he laughed

Then I laughed, "No, worse." I cracked the glass in my hand and let the pieces crunch in my hand. The pain was intense but I had to save Jake.

Blood started to gush down from my hand and onto the ground.

Nick's attention immediately came up to me, lifting off of Jake, and slowly walking towards me.

"MMMhHHHmmmm." he moaned as he got closer. I turned to run but he caught me by the back of my shirt.

"Ah ah, no no no, you're mine."
