at the park, kuan lin really thought saejin would let loose a bit. but she really stuck to the thought of studying. "seriously, exactly how much of these worksheets and flash cards did you make?" kuan lin sighs, after reshuffling the flash cards he had just quizzed saejin about.

"i don't know, i do it for fun so sometimes i get carried away." saejin giggles, but suddenly feeling shy after noticing kuan lin just staring at her with a fond smile. tucking a few strands behind her ear, she clears her throat and squirms slightly.

"let's continue?" she clapped, kuan lin'd gaze was back on the worksheets that were scattered around the bench table. a few more minutes pass, and it was slowly getting dark.

saejin frowns down at her watch, her mom was supposed to pick her up an hour ago. her eyes caught sight of the notification displayed on he home screen.

mom ❤️ : cant pick you up, sorry! had a meeting today, lasted longer than expected! love you! call me when you get home!

saejin sighs, finally deciding to pack her things up. "hey, hey, wait." kuan lin wasn't going home without any bacon. he needed a face, and he was careless as to how he was going to get it.

saejin's gaze softened as kuan lin spoke again, "i have a challenge." and saejin being saejin, her competitive self, agreed. "every time you get a question right, you get to ask me something you've been dying to ask or give me a dare." saejin rolls her eyes at the boy's statement. "why would i have something i'd die to ask."

kuan lin scoffs, "girls would die to get this juice." saejin cringes, punching him softly with a smile. "and what if i get a question wrong?"

"then i get to give you a truth or a dare!" oh, leave it to kuan lin's brilliant mind to think of a way to get past saejin's wall. after five questions, saejin finally asked an icebreaker to kuan lin; "how is it that you have all the girls wrapped around your finger, yet you're here with me?"

kuan lin leaned against the table, with a loving grin playing on his lips.

"because you, kim saejin, are beautiful."
