"The exploding dodgeball in the gym was an accident. A student in the support course left out his prototype and some janitor mistook it for an actual dodgeball," Gran Torrino said.

Toshinori heard the words his teacher spoke, but his attention was not on Gran Torrino.

His eyes were fixed on the seat next to him. A seat that had been empty all of yesterday and remained empty today.

Where is Enji? Was he hurt too badly for Recovery Girl to fix? Toshinori wondered.

"Yagi!"

Toshinori turned his gaze back towards the front of the room to see Gran Torrino glaring at him.

"Let your mind wander like that again and I will give you something to think about. This is not an ordinary class and I won't be ignored. Got it," Gran Torrino said.

Toshinori nodded and fixed his mind along with his attention on Gran Torrino.

"This little accident may seem unfortunate, but it had one positive effect. It showed me a gap in your training. Can anyone tell me what that gap is?" Gran Torrino asked.

"We ran."

The class turned in their seats to regard Kori. She was staring at her desk with her white hair almost completely covering her face.

"We are supposed to be heroes. When danger strikes we aren't supposed to run away," she said.

"Hold now. We were just doing what Gran Torrino said," Yamada said.

"That would be true if the order had been for us to all get ourselves out. He said to 'evacuate'. That doesn't just mean getting yourself out," Shota said.

Yamada turned to his friend.

"Bro, can't you see the lady is upset. That isn't going to help," he said.

Shota shrugged.

"Flattery and kind words are a waste of time that would be better spent correcting a mistake," he said.

Yamada winced.

"Now that is just cold," he said.

"All conversation about Miss Tenshi aside, she is correct," Gran Torrino said. "With the exception of two of you. All of you fled in terror when real danger appeared. I realize this was probably the first time any of you faced a threat like that. If you were normal high school students then this would be no issue. However, this will not be the last time you see danger. Next time we meet, we will practice the skills needed to keep your head when danger threatens_"

The bell rang, cutting Gran Torrino short.

"But for now, I want you to think about what happened. Class dismissed," Gran Torrino finished.

"I want to check on him," Toshinori said.

"Who?" Yamada asked.

He was perched on Enji's desk with his backpack on, waiting for Shoto to finish packing up his school stuff.

"Enji. It has been a full day and he hasn't come back," Toshinori said.

"Why would you do that, bro? You two aren't really friends," Yamada said.

Toshinori sighed.

"I know. I just....want to make sure he is okay," Toshinori said.

"I get the sentiment, but how you going to find him? I doubt he gave you his home address," Yamada said.
