Class 1A stared was still reeling in shock from the sudden disappearance of two of their number when a voice cut across their confusion.

"Alright. Everybody stand still and shut up. This chaos isn't helping anyone," Mr. Gyakura shouted.

Class 1A immediately stopped talking and stood mute, looking at the pro-hero they all knew as their math teacher.

"From what just happened, it is obvious that this room is not safe any more. We need to go somewhere that the villains can't just keep snatching you like candy from a bowl_" Mr. Gyakura began.

"We are not hiding. Two of our friends were just taken and if you think that we are going to let that go then you are the stupidest pro hero alive," Toshinori said.

Class 1A shouted its agreement and support.

Mr. Gyakura shook his head and sighed. "If you would have let me finish what I was about to say then you would realized that I was not about to suggest we hide somewhere else. That strategy appears to be useless. I was going to say that the safest place for everyone now is with the other pro heroes. That also happens to be the best way to rescue Tenshi and Todoroki. That villain might be popping up behind the other ones attacking and using them to cover his retreat."

"YAHOO! GET YOUR BATTLE GEAR ON, LADIES AND GENTLEMEN. WE ARE GOING INTO BATTLE," Yamada shouted.

Everyone present except Yamada clapped hands over their ears.

"It won't help if you burst our eardrums before we go," Shota grumbled.

Yamada grinned and flashed two thumbs up prompting Shota to roll his eyes.

Mr. Gyakura went over to the monitors and pushed a few buttons. The bars that had slid over the door smoothly slid back into their frame and the door unlocked.

"Stay together and attack in groups. None of you will help your friends by taking a villain on by yourself it getting killed," Mr. Gyakura said.

Killed.

That word stuck in Class 1A's collective consciousness. If they messed up this time, it wouldn't be an angry Gran Torrino or a few broken bones they faced. They could be gone, permanently. The thought froze them in their tracks.

Toshinori stepped forward and opened the door for everyone. He had been dealing with the thought of dying for a long time now. Even before Nana Shimura's body had become an all too accurate picture of what his own end could look like. So he did what he had done all of his life and choose to go forward, powered by the thoughts of those he was fighting to save.

When the door was opened, Class 1A shook off its fears and walked through the door to face the villains. As they exited the skyscraper, the light and noise the conflict caused shone like a beacon on their left.

"That way," Ishi said, pointing to it.

Class 1A took off with Toshinori in lead. Or at least that is what Toshinori thought would happen. Instead, he found himself flying past Shota, Yamada, Emi, and Nemuri and past where he had started from.

"Mr. Gyakura?" Toshinori asked.

"The group of villains the other pro-heroes are fighting are just a distraction. He didn't pop up behind him like I told the others," Mr. Gyakura said.

Toshinori frowned.

"I don't understand. How could you_" He began.

"That doesn't matter now. What matters is that if you want to save your friends then you will do as I say and go to roof of a building in the back of the city next to the wall. It has a flat roof and four chimneys. He is going to appear there," Mr. Gyakura said.

The look on Mr. Gyakura's face was grim and determined.

Toshinori found himself believing every word his teacher had said. That wasn't the face of a liar. That was the face of a man who was doing something he knew was not going to end well.

"You are faster then I am. I need you to take me to that building. I meant what I said about none of you facing villains alone. As soon as we land, you are going to rescue your friends while I distract the villain," Mr. Gyakura said. "Don't argue. We don't have the time."
Toshinori nodded and squatted down so that Mr. Gyakura could grab on to his shoulders and then dashed off in the direction Mr. Gyakura had indicated.

With One for All coursing through his veins, at full power this time with no restraint or hesitation, Toshinori shot up the side of a building and began dashing from roof to roof. It wasn't quite flying, but the amount of power and speed meant that gravity didn't get a chance to work on him.

Soon, he spotted a building with a flat roof and four chimney, one on each corner. In the middle of them was a dark shape standing over two more dark shapes.

Toshinori approached so a chimney blocked All for One's view and stopped behind it to let Mr. Gyakura off.

Chancing a peak from behind the chimney, Toshinori saw that Enji was a little to All for One's right while Kori lay at the villain's feet. Enji's body was limp and there was a darkening bruise on his temple from where All for One must have struck him.

Strange black tendrils extended from the tip of each of All for One's fingers and into Kori's chest.

He is taking her quirk. Toshinori realized, his eyes wide with horror.

Mr. Gyakura pulled Toshinori back behind the chimney.

"Remember the plan. I distract him while you grab your friends," Mr. Gyakura said.

Toshinori took a deep breath and nodded.

Mr. Gyakura smiled.

"You will be a great hero someday, Toshinori. I know you will. When this is all over, I have something in my desk for you. I know it won't make up for everything, but I hope it will at least be a start," Mr. Gyakura said.

Toshinori blinked, confused.

Mr. Gyakura patted him on the shoulder and then did something that should have been absolutely suicide. He stepped out from behind the chimney and spoke to All for One.

"I have thought about this for a long time and I have decided that I want out," Mr. Gyakura said.
