Chapter 13: Camila Knows

*Camila's P.O.V*

"Camila!" Dinah's voice broke me from my trance.  "Stop doing that," she referred to my pacing. "I swear you're going to ware a hole in the floor."

"Sorry," I mumbled, sitting in a desk chair in my room.

I looked at Dinah and sighed, "Okay, start from the beginning.  What exactly happened?"

The corners of Dinah's mouth turned up into a smile.  "Lauren told us that her and Luis broke up!" She was probably more excited than I was about this.  I couldn't help but laugh at her eagerness to get us together, even though I knew it would never happen.

"Dinah, I need you to tell me EXACTLY what she said." I urged.

Dinah shook her head, "Honestly Mila she didn't say much.  She told us they broke up and when Ally apologized about the whole thing, Lauren said that it was okay because she found a way to get over it.  Then she looked at me before leaving the table for a doctor's appointment."

I audibly gasped, knowing fully well what her brief eye contact with Dinah was referring to.

"But wait!" Dinah said excitedly, "It gets better!"

I laughed, "Then please, go on." I gestured for her to continue talking.

Dinah smirked, "After school I cornered Normani because by the way she acted she already knew Lauis broke up-"

I cut her off, "Can we NOT use their stupid ship name?"  Dinah quirked an eyebrow in a knowing manor.  "Camren's better." I mumbled, playing with my hair.

Dinah beamed happily when I used the name she had created long ago for Lauren and I.  "Anyways!  I cornered Normani and she admitted that Lauren told her that after they broke up, that's when Lauren went to your place!"

"Do you think Normani knows about what happened between Lauren and I?" I asked nervously, not ready for everybody to know that 1) I like girls and 2) that I'm in love with Lauren.

Dinah shook her head, "If she does, she didn't say anything about it so I think Lauren's keeping it to herself."

I nodded, chewing on my cuticles.

"Get this though," Dinah divulged. "Luis broke up with her!  Not the other way around!  After everything, he was still the one to dump HER!"

I about fell out of my chair, I literally can't believe anything that I'm hearing right now.  Lauren's single?  After Luis broke up with her she came over to my place?  But why?

*Lauren's P.O.V*

My phone ringing took me by surprise as I drove towards the sunset.  Normani's name flashed across my screen, although I didn't want to deal with whatever she had to say I answered anyway.

"Hello?"

"Laur, I have to tell you something." Normani rushed.

I sighed, "What is it, Mani?"

"Camila knows." Was all she said.

My heart quickened, "Excuse me?"

"Lauren, Camila knows that the first thing you did when Luis broke up with you was go to her house.  She knows that was your first impulse." Normani explained.

"Fuck" I mumbled, hanging up on Normani and ignoring further calls from her.

Camila wasn't suppose to know that I am drawn to her.  Camila CAN'T know.  I fucked everything up.

Ignoring the better half of my conscious, I pulled into the next bar I saw and stormed inside, ordering alcohol to make my pain go away.
