Daddy Issues

Today is going to be so boring because it's already 12:00pm and Demi went to the studio twenty minutes ago and left me here, alone and now I have nothing to do. I might go hit up Hayley or something. I text her:
K: hey girl. Wassup?
H: I'm on a plane to England, what's wrong?
K: I thought you was still in LA I wanted to hang out.
H: sorry I've got a show tomorrow night.
K: okay well good luck girl.
H: thanks boo.
Now I am going to be bored till 5 in the afternoon, 5 hours of boredom. Then an idea came into my head... I could hit up Kylie and Jordyn so I ring Kylie:
Ky: my Snizzle, you okay?
K: yeah I'm good I'm just seeing what you are up to today.
Ky: well me and Jordyn was looking for one more woman for our photo shoot today, wanna join?
I had to think for a while, but I will just say yes to cure my boredom.
K: yeah I will come. Where is it?
Ky: just come to my crib then we will get into my car and drive there.
K: okay I'm going to get an Uber now.
Ky: see you in a bit.
I put the phone down and start to do my hair and makeup. Once I done everything and called an Uber I waited outside of Demi's house and someone was coming into the drive in a orange Lamborghini. I couldn't see who it was till they came out the car and it was Austin, so I walked over to him and saw he had Elle in the passenger seat. "Oh hi Austin, hey baby Elle." He smiled. "Hi, I heard you was going to Kylie's?" I nodded. "Yeah I'm just waiting for my Uber." "Okay well all the kids are there for their photo shoot too and she told me to bring Elle for it too and she told me you was coming so I made my way here first so I could drive behind your Uber if that's okay?" "Yeah that's fine." I look through the window to see Elle wearing nearly the same clothes as me. I was wearing a purple crop top, black high waisted ripped jeans and white Nike's. Elle was wearing a pink top, black ripped jeans and white Nike's. "Ain't that a coincidence me and Elle are basically matching besides the top." Austin started laughing and I saw the Uber pull up. "Right okay I'm going to get in this Uber so try and stay close." He nods and I lock my front door and get into the Uber. Once we started driving I could see that Austin was right behind us. "How are you doing today miss?" This is a nice guy. "I'm okay thank you, how are you?" "I'm doing good today. What are you up to today?" I think because should I be telling him all this. "I'm going to do a photo shoot. Are you working all day today?" "Unfortunately yes. Well have a good time." I nod. "Thank you very much." He pulled up outside of Kylie's house so I paid him the money and he drove off then not long after I see Austin driving over to the house so I do the code so he can drive into the drive. Once the golden gates opened he drove through and my phone started ringing and when I saw who it was, it was Shaina. I put it down the first time, second and third but when she called the fourth time I picked it up:
K: what do you want Shaina?!
S: I miss you Kehlani, I'm sorry for everything I have done.
K: Shaina do you really think I am that stupid to take you back? I am happy okay. You're happy with Chris. Go be with him. After you went there with him I can't even stand to look at either of you.
S: But did I tell him to say that stuff K?
K: no but you knew he hurt my feelings and then you hurt my feelings by going there with him. I could never forgive you.
S: So you ain't going to forgive me?
K: hell no!
S: well are you with Demi then because I want to say sorry to her.
K: one she doesn't need your apology and two she isn't with me for your information she's at the studio.
S: okay well sorry for the inconvenience, bye Kehlani.
I knew there was more to the story. She knows I always put the phone down so this time I didn't so I could hear what she had to say behind the scenes.
S: Chris... Demi is at the studio without Kehlani let's go get her then, this is our only chance to take her down.
After I heard that I was so shocked. I put the phone down and ran into Kylie's house balling my eyes out. "KYLIE! JORDYN! AUSTIN! I need your help!" They came running into the kitchen as fast as they could. Kylie put her hands on my shoulder. "What's wrong K?" Gasping for air because I am so scared. "It... it's Demi... she's in trouble... Chris... Shaina... they're going to do something to her!" Austin had his hands over his mouth. "Where is she Kehlani? I will drive you there!" I looked at him concerned. "At the studio!" "Let's go then!" I nodded and Jordyn spoke. "Kylie go with them I will watch the kids. So then you can bring Demi home in your car." We all nod and we rush out of the house and all get in cars, Kylie was in hers and me and Austin was in his car so we could get there faster. I'm calling her phone over and over again and she's not answering. "Fuck! Come on demi answer your phone!" "Calm down Kehlani. We will get there before them." I call her again and finally she answers:
K: Babe where are you!
D: I'm just about to leave the studio with Clarissa, why?
K: I know I said I will protect you but I'm on my way and Chris and Shaina, they could be closer to you then me.
I can hear her breath quicken.
D: KEHLANI DO NOT MESS WITH ME RIGHT NOW! WHAT DO YOU MEAN?
K: they are coming to do something to you Demi! I'm not messing! Just keep calm and I'm on my way! I love you.
It takes her a little while to answer.
D: I love you too Lani.
I put the phone down and Kylie rings me:
Ky: took the short cut, I'm already here and I can see Chris and Shaina walking to the studio doors. KEHLANI WHAT DO I DO!
K: stay calm and try to see if they get in, we will literally pull up in about 30 seconds.
Ky: okay.
I put the phone down and not long after we pull up outside the studio. Me and Austin rapidly get out the car to be with Kylie. I see that Chris and Shaina have walked round the building to find another way to get in so I text Demi:
K: gone round to find a way in come down quick so we can get you in Kylie's car x
D: okay. Clarissa can drive my car so I will send her down first x
K: try to be safe x
I put my phone in my pocket and soon I see Clarissa at the door. I tell her to come out. She runs out the door and passes me the studio door keys and I pass her Demi's keys. "Take Demi's car to her house and wait there if you want." She nods and gets in the car and drives off. Demi makes her way down and opens the door and Kylie gets her into the car. "Don't wait for us we are sorting these two out." Kylie nods and starts the engine so me and Austin walk to the side of the building. "Hey dickheads what you doing here!" They turn around really fast to see that they have a gun. I'm not one to run away but I didn't want to get shot and they follow us to the sidewalk. I turn around and notice Kylie and Demi still haven't left, I guess Demi won't leave till she knows I am okay. "Don't mess with me right now Kehlani! I have a gun! We can leave here like mature adults only if you get rid of Demi and be with us!" Me and Austin just look at each other. "Like a threesome?" They nod. "Well no then. I don't want to associate with you people." They bring the gun up to line it with Austin. "Well your friend goes first." BOOM!

I open my eyes and I'm lying on the sidewalk with Demi crying over me, she's on her knees holding my hands. Austin is sat in his car staring at nothing and Kylie is on the phone... hopefully to make my heart pain go away. I put my hand to my heart and see blood on it... I got shot! I risked my life for Austin. "Demi..." she looks at me with red eyes. "Kehlani! They are coming to help you okay? Don't worry. You're going to be fine." "Baby my heart hurts. The blood it's too much, I'm going to die." I cry and she wipes my tears away. "Don't say that Lani. You're going to make it." I just nod repeatedly. "I love you okay Dem. I just want you to know that." She shakes her head. "No do not say that Kehlani! You can tell me you love me later because you are not going anywhere!" My eyes start to feel heavy and suddenly the close and I can't open them again. Not long after I feel my body being put on a soft bed. I still can't open my eyes but I can hear what people are saying around me. It's Kylie, Austin and Demi. Austin is on the phone:
A: Catherine I am fine don't worry about it okay.
C: what do you mean don't worry Austin... Kehlani fucking saved your life. Just let me come and thank her.
A: please don't come, rest. The stress won't be good for the baby.
C: you don't want me to be stressed? I'm coming then!
"She just put the phone down on me." In my head I am laughing but I can't show any emotion right now, I can't move my body and I can't open my eyes. What's wrong with me? I can feel someone holding my hand, Demi. I can't believe I've put her through this, I just want to say sorry. I'm trying my hardest to move even if it's just my hand, my fingers or even my leg. I can hear Kylie talking to Demi.
K: she will make it Demi don't underestimate the strength of Kehlani.
D: I know she is strong but is she strong enough to get through this?
K: she is Dem, just keep believing it and it will come true.
D: I just love her so much I don't know what I would do without her.
I just try my very hardest to say something so I can make everyone less stressed. I try one more time to move my fingers and it doesn't work, try again and it twitched a tiny bit. With my groggy voice I reply back to Demi. "I... love... you too." Everyone looks at me to see my eyes open. "Kehlani! Omg! Don't do this again I thought you would never wake up." "I'm like a cat I have 9 lives." Demi kisses my head. "I love you so much Lani. More than you will ever know." "I love you too babe." Kylie goes out to get a doctor and the doctor comes back in with a furious Catherine. "She wouldn't take no for an answer." " I know them. He is my fiancé. What happened Kehlani?" "Basically... me and Austin was on the way with Elle to Kylie's for the photo shoot... and I get a call from Shaina saying sorry... I don't forgive her and she asked if I was with Demi... I wasn't so she knew where she was... me, Kylie and Austin went to help her and Clarissa get out without getting hurt... they tried shooting Austin and I just remember leaping in front of him, he has you, Elle and another one on the way I couldn't stand there and do nothing." Austin hasn't said anything to me yet. "Thank you Kehlani, seriously I couldn't thank you anymore. You literally took a bullet for me." I just smile. "No biggie." Demi still had hold of my hand and the doctor spoke. "Okay well Kehlani now that you're awake you will be fine to go home in the next 24-48 hours, is that okay?" I nod slightly. "Thank you doctor." She leaves us all in the room. "Guys you have been here for a while, you must be tired you can go home to get some rest." I just look at Demi and I can tell she ain't going anywhere and Kylie speaks up. "Are you sure Snizzle I don't really want to leave." I nod. "Yeah you can go home you left Stormi with Jordyn she will be worried." She nods. "I will come back tomorrow to check on you." I nod and she gives me a kiss on my head. I see Catherine and Austin stood there still. "Guys Elle is at Kylie's what about her?" "We will visit you soon okay? Get better Lani." I nod and they leave the room. "And there was two." Demi looks at me sympathetically. "Great way to start 2018." I just smile. "You can't find a way to get rid of me, I'm staying here." I nod. "That's okay I wanted you here anyways." She places a peck on my lips. "You know I thought you was gone before I could ask you the big question." "What question?" She looked at me and smiled. "I want to buy a house together." I smile because this woman seriously makes me happy. "I want to move in together too." "When you are all better we will go house hunting okay?" I nod and she kisses my head. "So where are you going to sleep?" "Right here on this chair." I shake my head. "No you won't you will sleep next to me on this bed." She smiles and takes her coat and shoes off and lays next to me on the bed. She puts her leg over mine and her arm around my waist. "I love you so much Lani." "Goodnight Demi I love you too baby." She snuggles her head in the crook of my neck. I just start laughing from nowhere. "Our asses are so big." That made her laugh. "Go to sleep Kehlani." I nod and not long after I drift off to sleep with the love of my life besides me.
