No Promises

Coffee all night, no sleep, nobody to talk to, lonely without Demi and did I already say that I had no sleep? Since half past two in the morning I have had 7 cups of coffee and watching Netflix throughout the night. It's now 10:30am and someone knocks on my door. I didn't reply and when someone sat on my bed I noticed it was Demi, now I had to make it look like I have been sleeping all night. She hugs me round my waist and kisses my cheek. "Morning baby." I sit up and wipe my eyes and she notices that they are really red. "Did you not get any sleep last night Lani?" I didn't make contact and just looked down and she lifted my face up by my chain. "Kehlani? Answer me please. Did you get any sleep last night?" I shook my head. "Why? Are you ill?" She put her hand on my forehead. "No I'm not ill Dem, but if I tell you something you promise not to be disappointed or anything like that?" She nods her head. "Since what happened I can't get any sleep. Like when you're beside me I can fall asleep because I know I am safe but last night every time I closed my eyes I would get terrible flashbacks and they would scare the shit out of me but it's not the same if I saw them I wouldn't be scared, you know what I mean?" Out of nowhere she just kissed me on my lips and cuddled up to me. "Why didn't you call me last night? I could of came over last minute." "I didn't know if you would and I didn't know if you fell asleep straight away after the text." "I would of came either way babe, if you ever need me again just call my name and I will come straight away. Okay Kehlani?" I nod. "I love you." "I love you too." I give her a passionate kiss and not long after we pulled away. "Why don't you get some rest and I will carry on packing the living room before the moving van comes in an hour." I nodded slowly and lay down. I turned on my side but could still feel Demi's hand on my back. "You staying?" "Yeah till I know you're sleeping." I took her hand and intertwined our fingers, shortly after falling asleep.

I turn over on my side slowly, smiling after remembering falling asleep with Demi beside me but when I looked she wasn't there. I leaped our the bed and put my phone in my joggers pocket and ran downstairs to be met with Demi and lots of men taking boxes out of the house and into the van. I walk into the kitchen and I still can't find Demi, I look in the back yard still can't find her so I call her instead:
K: Demi where are you. I just woke up and you're gone.
D: Lani I'm sorry I've literally just gone to my house to give me keys to the real estate agent.
K: okay I just woke up worried that's all.
D: no worries. Get dressed before they have finished because once they're done they can take the van to the new house and you have to give your keys to the real estate agent.
K: alright, I love you.
D: I love you too K.
I put the phone down and run upstairs to get ready. Once I've showered, done my make up and my hair I put my outfit on which was a black and red flannel around my waist, a black vest top, black ripped jeans and red Jordans. I look out of my window at my view. "Goodbye old house, I will love you forever." I kiss my fingers and put it on my balcony railing. I go downstairs with my bag and notice that the guys have finished so I lock all the windows and all the doors and go to the front. "Thank you guys for this, I really appreciate it." They nod. "It's alright we are only doing our job. So we are taking this to 42 Spieser Lane?" I nod. They get in the van and I get in my new Porsche to drive to the new house. Once I was on the road I instantly got jammed in LA traffic and Demi was ringing me:
D: you might as well meet me at home Lani.
K: I was on the way now anyways.
D: you miss your home already?
K: I mean yeah but at least I've got to buy a house with my girlfriend so it's a win win situation.
D: you're too cute bae.
K: this traffic is moving now Dem I have to go so I don't get stopped.
D: okay I love you.
K: I love you too.
She put the phone down this time and I carried on driving to the new house. It wasn't that far from my old house but it was a good drive. I'm listening to Destiny's Child and Aaliyah in the car with my window rolled down and Austin's Lamborghini drives beside me so I turn my music down to shout over to him. "Are you stalking me!" He laughs. "Nah I'm taking Elle to a Safari to meet Stanley the Giraffe." I just smile. "Where's Catherine?" "Home, morning sickness." I nod and he speeds in front.

Not long after I made it to my new house and Demi was stood in the back yard whilst the guys were bringing in all the stuff. I wrapped my arms around her waist. "We are going to have to get Kourtney Kardashian to do our house." Demi shook her head. "No my style put with yours will be nice. We can do it alone because we bought this house alone so we will decorate it alone." I nodded and kissed her neck. We walked in the kitchen and made a glass of water. "They have already loaded all the stuff in our room I might as well start to do it." She nodded. "Yeah I will do the kitchen and living room." "Alright and I'll do an extra bathroom." She nodded and I made my way upstairs to the master bedroom. I moved the bed and wardrobe on my own. I put all the pictures away and laid out our professional things, made the bed and even put away our clothes into our walk in closet. Already our bedroom looked new but it instantly felt like home. I didn't want it to look the exact same so I did change it round a tiny bit. Once I done the whole room I done all the bathrooms including ours and because I was so exhausted I sat on the bed and scrolled through my phone to come across an interview between Chris, Shaina and Wendy Williams so obviously I watched it. At first Wendy made it look like the interview was about them till she started asking interesting questions. "So did you hear that Kehlani got shot?" They both looked at each other suspiciously and shrugged their shoulders. "No we have only found out right now." "Well I was just thinking you all have beef don't you? Are youse sure you don't know what happened?" They shook their heads. "To be honest I don't like her, we both don't but we would never wish death on her." One tear just rolled down my cheek and I wiped it away quickly because I can't believe I am crying over these idiotic people. I just said to myself, "liars. I will take them down and they will pay for what they done to me." I put my phone down and went downstairs. When I got downstairs I noticed that Demi actually made the place look really homely. She came over to me and wrapped her arms around my neck and kissed my lips. "I love our new house." I smiled at her. "I love it too." Batman and Cinderella came over and ran in between our legs. "I guess they like it too." I just laugh and kiss her one more time. "Should we go watch a movie in our cinema?" I nod and she takes my hand and we walk down to it. Once we were down there we took a seat and argued on what film we was going to watch but in the end we came to the conclusion of Wonder. Already half way through the film I was crying and Demi was sleeping and I really needed to pee so I went upstairs to go to the toilet. When I was on it my phone buzzed from a text but I didn't know who it was so I left it. I washed my hands before picking up my phone and it was from an unknown number saying:
U: handing myself in first thing tomorrow. Sorry, really I am.
I already knew who it was but was it Shaina or Chris or was it both? So I replied back:
K: didn't look like you were sorry on that interview.
U: I wasn't going to confess on live tv, I ain't that stupid.
K: clearly. Now just confess tomorrow or I will drop you in.
U: why haven't you done it yet?
K: well because I wanted you to be responsible and do it yourself, look you did it.
And I didn't get a reply back so I made my way back down to the cinema room and Demi was still sleeping, this is all this woman does. I am feeling generous so I pick her phone up and carry her upstairs into our new room. I lay her down on the bed and she rolls over all the way onto my side, this can't be happening. I am trying to wake her up but she won't so I will have to shout her. "DEMI!!!" Her eyes shoot open and her whole body jerks up and her breath quickens whilst she puts her hand on her heart. "Sorry you was on my side and you wouldn't wake up. For my forgiveness at least I got your comfy clothes out for you." I passed her the clothes and she gave me a dirty look. I already got changed so I just got into bed. Once Demi was dressed she just got into bed and lay on her side, normally she would cuddle up to me or at least give me a kiss but no straight on her side. I go over to her and put my arm around her and she takes it off. "I'm sorry baby, I love you." "I'm going to sleep, love you too." And she didn't talk to me after that so when I got my water down me I not long after fell asleep.
