Like any other day, Eriol spent his night in his study. He needed to review the documents of the company and some other personal documents for Mr. Chillingworth. Normally, he would only take two hours to sort his work, but tonight, something kept on distracting him.

Knock. Knock. Knock.

Leaning on his red chair comfortably, he released the paper on his hand and focused his eyes to the door. Finally, the person he wanted to talk to since he got home arrived. Even though he saw her at dinner, he decided to have a private talk to her since he didn't want to alarm any other person in the house about his concern.

"Come in." Eriol commanded in a soft voice.

Slowly, the door opened and a tall gorgeous woman entered the room. She fashioned a scarlet hair, which was tied in a messy bun. Her golden eyes looked straightly at him.

Eriol studied the figure for a moment and smiled mischievously. "I still can't believe that you are still unmarried at this point, Kaho."

Kaho smiled back. "Did you call me just to tell me that?"

"No, but you are in your early forties. Women like you should have run off with a man already. Instead, you are still with me."

"How many times did we have this conversation already?" Kaho said. Years ago, she might have told him directly that they promised each other that happiness. However, times had changed and she knew that his heart too. "I told you, I don't see anyone who is worthy."

"Perhaps you have unrealistic expectations?"

"No. I loved someone along time ago, but I lost him."

Eriol remained silent. He was taken aback at Kaho's answer, because for years of knowing her, it was the first time he heard this side of story. "Are there any chances that you'll see him again?"

Kaho paused, trying to be careful of her words. There was really no point of exposing herself now. "No. I think he wanted totally different things now. I'm okay. Don't worry."

Eriol smiled in relief. "Anyway, I called you to ask if I have been with you since I was a child?"

Kaho nodded, but felt uneasy with the question. He never asked anything about his past before. "Why?"

"Well, I met a friend few days ago. He was so surprised that I didn't remember him. By his words and actions, I could tell that I have been a big part of his life." He explained as he watched her expression. He noticed her uneasiness, but that was probably because for five years, he remained silent and uncurious about his past.

"Who is this person?" Kaho asked, almost whispering. Her heartbeat went fast in tension. For all these years, she only imagined a certain person appearing in their lives once again. But that couldn't happen right? They were seas away from him. 'Please... of all people, don't let it be-"

"Li Syaoran."

'NO!' She screamed in her head as she got her awaited answer. Sweat dropping, Kaho couldn't help shivering. By merely hearing the name of the Chinese guy, she felt afraid and confused of what to do.

"Do you know him?" Eriol asked, still eyes on her.

Cutting her thoughts, the woman shook her head. "No." She said simply, not trusting to say anything more at the moment. She put her shaking hands on her back. "Is that all?"

Staring at her for a few seconds, Eriol simply nodded. He didn't know what came into Kaho, but it was the first time he saw her so uneasy. Somehow, he didn't want to think that she was lying, but he knew that Kaho was not telling him something.
