I think we have probably all been there
That place that we think is so unfair
All of its roads lead us to loneliness
I’ve been there myself, I must confess
Its complicated winding paths make us wish that things could change
Those paths make us long for things that are out of our range
So many wrong turns will lead you there
That place that we think is so unfair
Loving someone so very much
And missing their every little touch
Remembering how things were so long ago
Remembering all the times that you had to let go
These thoughts will always take you there
That place that we think is so unfair
Sitting alone while watching others together
Is one thing that doesn’t really make you feel better?
