Virginia time

I rolled over in bed, the room still dark as I hit something that lay spread out in the middle of the bed. I squint my eyes open to see Josie's hair all over her face, as her lips separated a little and soft snores escaped her lips. I smiled and went back to sleep, feeling fine with everything

Around four in the morning, Josie had kicked me for the fifth time and I was on the edge of the bed. I kept rolling away, but she would get closer, and I was going to fall

Which I did. She violently rolled, and I fell off the bed with a loud thud. I groaned in pain as I held my forehead that hit the floor rather quickly. It was enough commotion to wake Josie, as she peered over, putting her hand over her mouth as she gasped

"Oh my god, Corbyn. I kicked you out of your own bed. Are you okay?" she moved to where her upper body hung over the bed and her nike elite covered feet held up her body

"Yeah, just hit my head a little hard" I said, rubbing my temple as I scrunched my face up in pain.

She swung her legs out from under her and gently moved to the floor to sit in front of me, her legs crisscrossed. "I can help. I took biology for four semesters" she said, looking at my head, moving my hand gently to the ground as she untied her legs and straddled me. Quite frankly, it scared me before she told me what she was doing

"Don't yelp or anything, promise. I'm looking if you're hurt" she said inching closer as she held her one hand on my shoulder and the other holding my hand, balancing herself. She looked at my forehead intricately, looking for any signs of a medical problem, besides a bruise. There seemed to be none there, as she sat back down on her heels, smiling in relief

"You look and seem fine by the way you stared at my face" I laughed, looking down at knees, then over to our hands

It was silently before she stood up and pulled me up with her. She let go of my hand as she grabbed one pillow and threw it on the ground. She laid down on my hardwood floor, resting her head on her pillow

"The hell you doing" I whispered from the bed. She looked over to me before moving back into her spot, closing her eyes and letting her hair fall everywhere

"I kicked you. Shut up and sleep" she whispered back as I choose to listen for once and go to sleep

Ten-thirty, I woke back up to the shower running behind my wall. I moved around, rubbing the heels of my palms into my eyes, looking around the now bright room. Josie wasn't on the floor, so I only assumed she was in the shower

Shit. They're gonna see here

Quickly getting out of bed, I opened my door and walked a little down the hall to the bathroom door always open, and two voices having a conversation

I kinda stood back to listen before pulling Ashley out, which didn't take long

"Hey, Ash, how 'bout you let Josie shower and knock next time" I smiled forcefully to Josie as I walked Ashley out of the bathroom, closing the door behind me

"I went in there to get more soap because I just thought it was you and nothing would happen. But then she asked for shampoo and knew she was wearing the shirt, not you" she spoke up as we continued down the hall, and then downstairs

"Well, even if it was me, or Jordan, why would you go in"

"Because, I just needed soap. It would be quick and you wouldn't move because the door creaks when it opens and you would've know someone was in there" she looked to me as we walked into the living room. She turned around, stopping in her and my tracks as she questioned who she was and where she came from

While explaining, my mom walked in

"Who in the shower?" she looked at both of us as the shower stopped. I looked up to mom, Ashley too

"Jordan almost got out of the shower when Ashley walked in" I lied, straightening up from my bent over position from talking to Ashley. She turned to mom too, as our mom crossed her arms

"Jordan went to the gym"

"When he came back and got in the shower" Ashley lied, looking to her as her arms were still crossed. She wasn't going to believe us, especially because Jordan took mom's car. If her car was here, she would be at the grocery store or something

"Stop lying Corbyn. Who's the girl" she said nonchalantly. It took me by surprise, for she heard enough about Josie. And saw enough, as she still wore my shirt and came down in it, with her wet hair slightly dried out. I looked over to her as the step creaked, and back to my mom, who seemed kind of happy

I stood frozen as Josie's eyes widened. She took a few steps back, her heels hitting the bottom step. She loses slight balance and grabs the railing, a forced smile playing on her lips as she looked between my mom and I

"Uh.. hello" Josie spoke, terrified to do anything, even breath. She somehow remembers our problem, and it's bothering her now that's we are facing it. It evident all over her face, even the way she's holding herself up

Mother approached her, smiling and lovingly. But, what she saw wasn't what she thought. She thought Josie was a new girl for me, but truly, she was the drunk girl I had to pick up
