Labor/delivery part 3

LIAM:
After six more hours of laying on the bed and walking around the hospital room, with Liam right beside you; you were exhausted and just wanted sleep, but with the contractions getting closer together, you couldn't. You sat on the edge of your hospital bed, with your legs dangling off the edge. You tried keeping your breathing even as you worked through the painful contractions, but it was becoming harder. Your hands were on either side of you, as you attempted to rock your hips to ease some of the pain. "Oh, Li," you whimpered, biting your lower lip, hands grabbing his forearms tightly. Liam stood in front of you, hands rubbing up and down your back, and towards your belly, applying light pressure. "I know, I know sweetheart," he whispered, kissing your forehead. It was breaking Liam's heart to see you in so much pain and not knowing how to help. "I-I can't do this anymore," you started to sob, your breathing coming out in pants. "I can't. I just, I wanna go home, please Li," you cried, tears now flowing down your cheeks, no longer calm. Liam swallowed thickly, his own tears filling his eyes again. "I know you do darling," he said, pulling you against his chest, "you're so strong and brave. I'm right here, not going anywhere. I wish I could take this for you." You nodded, before feeling another contraction building and the baby move lower down into your pelvis. "You're doing so well. I'm so proud of you," Liam kissed your head, as you buried your face into his chest. "That's it sweetheart, breath through it," he whispered in your ear, feeling your whole body tense up. You whimpered as the contraction ended, but suddenly cried out in pain as a different type of pressure begun to grow between your legs. "Oh my god," you groaned, "the baby's coming. It feels like it's right there. Oh, oh, Li." Liam's eyes went wide and reached over to hit the button for the doctor. "Deep breaths darling," he said, trying to keep calm as you moaned at the increasing pressure.

LOUIS:
"Lou, are we there yet?" you moaned, as a contraction got stronger. "Almost boo," Louis kissed your temple and looked at his mum who was driving the car. You whimpered and squeezed his hand until it ended. "I'm sorry Lou," you whispered, letting go of his hand. "It's alright boo. If it helps, squeeze my hand, I'm tough," he said as you tiredly put your head on his shoulder, taking deep breaths. Once you arrived at the hospital, Jay got you settled into your room. As the pressure in your back increased, you found it harder to get comfortable by laying on the bed and sitting on the chair. "How about walking around the room love?" Jay suggested, as you wiggled on the chair again, "being upright and using gravity helps." You looked around the room but only found Jay. "Lou, where's Lou?" you asked being to panic. "Hey darling, it's ok, deep breaths. He is just outside-" she stopped as the door opened and Louis walked in. "Lou," you whimpered reaching out of him. He rushed to your side, taking your hands. "I want to walk a little," you whispered, standing up slowly. Louis wrapped his arms around you. "Stop Lou," you gasped, squeezing his forearms tightly as your stomach tightened again; stronger than before. "Breathe boo, I'm right here for you," he whispered, holding you up. Your breathing came out in quick pants as the pain faded. Louis sighed as he felt your body relax. "Just lean on me," he said, keeping his arm on your waist as you slowly walked around the hospital room. "You're doing an amazing job Y/N," Jay encouraged, watching from the bed. You suddenly stopped and groaned. Louis turned you around quickly so you were facing the bed. You placed your hands flat on the bed to keep yourself steady as the contraction wrapped itself around your body. "Lou, put your hands on her hips and sway them slightly. It will help move the baby down further," Jay whispered to her son. Louis quickly followed her instruction. You whimpered as he swayed your hips slowly. "Ow ow ow," you hissed as you felt the baby move lower, with added pressure building. "He's coming, Oh my, I'm pushing. Lou, I can't help it," you moaned.

NIALL:
"You're doing so well Y/N. You're 7cm dilated. Only a little bit to go," the doctor said, checking your process, "since the epidural is wearing off, did you what a top up?" Niall looked at you still laying on the bed and gently brushed hair off your forehead. "I'll just let you know, that if you do, it might be harder to push as you may not feel the contractions, but it's up to you," the doctor explained. "I don't know," you mumbled. "There are other forms of pain relief if you need it, yeah Doctor?" Y/S/N asked. "There is a gas you can breath or even some natural ways, like breathing techniques or massage," the doctor said. "Can we try the other ways? I don't want it to be harder to push," you asked Niall, "I just want them here already, Ni." He kissed your knuckles a few things. "Thanks doc, but no top up." She nodded and wrote on your patient chart. "How about sitting up? either on the bed or the chair? Help these little ones move down and relieve some pressure off your back," she suggested, before leaving the room. "The chair might be better, Niall can sit in front of you," Denise said. Before you could answer, Niall stood up and slowly helped you out of bed and onto the chair. You sighed and leaned against the pillow. "Feel better than laying down?" Y/S/N asked, sitting on the bed with Denise. You nodded and wiggled your toes. Niall knelt down in front of you and took your hands in his larger ones. You gasped as your stomach tightened. "Deep breaths," Denise encouraged, "good girl." "My back," you cried. Within seconds, your sister's hand were massaging your lower back. You took sharp breaths as the pain ended. "I'm so sorry Princess," Niall whispered, "if I could take this for you I would, I hate that-" you cut him off with a soft kiss. "I'm ok, I promise. I can feel one of them getting lower," you whispered. You shifted uncomfortably on the chair, as you felt another contraction growing, soon after the last one had ended. You closed your eyes, as the pain peaked, your whimpers getting louder. Suddenly you felt a wave of pressure in between your legs. "Oh my god," you moaned, squeezing Niall's hand, "Ni, one of them is right there. I can feel it. Get the doctor."

HARRY:
You leaned against your forearms on the kitchen counter, placing your head down as you breathed through a contraction. Harry's hands were on your back, applying pressure and swaying your hips slightly to help the baby move down. As the pain passed, you straightened up. You turned around to look at Harry and took a shaky breath. "Haz," you whispered, lip starting to tremble. "Hey sweetheart, you're doing so good-" he stopped when you saw your face go pale. "I'm going to be sick," you mumbled, but before you could cover your mouth with your hand, or Harry could get a bucket, you throw up on him and the floor. "I'm sorry Haz," you sobbed, body starting to shake. "It's ok baby, I've got you," he replied, as the midwife walked in. She handed Harry a towel to wipe your face. "It's normal to feel nauseous or cold," she said, "I have a feeling we'll be meeting your little girl really soon. Do you want to try the shower?" You nodded and ran a hand over your stomach, feeling it tighten again. "Deep breaths," Harry whispered, sensing your body tense up at another contraction. You whimpered quietly until the pain faded away. "That's a girl," he kissed your head. Harry wrapped an arm around you and helped to the master bathroom, as the midwife begun starting things up in the bedroom. He started the shower before turning around and helping you out of his tshirt you were wearing. As you knelt in the shower, you sighed in relief as the water hit your back making the pain disappear for the moment. "Why didn't I get in here sooner?" you whispered. Harry smiled for the first time in hours; you were calm and relaxed. Harry knelt just outside the shower and rubbed your lower back. You took a sharp breath as a contraction wrapped around your body and down your thighs. "You're so close baby," he whispered, hands moving to your hips, helping you sway them. "Stop Haz," you snapped, feeling pressure building in between your legs, as the baby moved lower into your pelvis. "She's coming. I have to get out," you cried.

ZAYN:
"Feels so good," you whispered, letting the warm water relax your aching body. You knelt in the water, resting your cheek on your folded arms on the edge of the tub. Zayn gave you a small smile from his position sitting outside the tub. You hummed as a contraction spread from your back towards your stomach, feeling calmer as they were more manageable with the support of water. "Z," you whispered as it ended and opened your eyes slowly. "I'm right here babygirl. You're doing so good," he whispered, brushing hair from your forehead, before pressing a kiss there. Zayn moved to your side and knelt up a little. He scooped up some water in his hand and gently pouring it on your back. "Thank you Z," you whispered, exhaling deeply. "Anything for you. Shall I keep doing it?" he asked quietly. You nodded sleepily, as he continued pouring. "Keep talking," you said, taking a sharp breath, "I like hearing your voice." You felt your stomach tighten as another contraction started, a little stronger than before. Zayn thought for a moment about what to say, but when he saw you stiffen up, he quickly started talking. "You know we never spoke about what gender we think the baby is?" he asked, resting his head beside yours on the edge. You sighed in relief the pain faded and reached out to gently touched his hand. "A boy, I think. Despite the amount of morning sickness I had and foods I carved," you whispered. Zayn shook his head against his hand, "Nah, I think my prediction was right, we're having a little girl." There was a knock on the door and Doniya poked her head inside. "I agree with Y/N, it's a boy," she said, making Zayn look up, "how are you going in here? I just got off the phone with mum. She sends her love, and is waiting for the call to say her grandchild is here before she comes down." You opened your mouth to answer, but you gasped as another contraction started. Zayn snapped his gaze back to you, hands rubbing your shoulders, as you moaned at the increasing pain, now with slight pressure. "That's it beautiful, our baby will be here soon," he whispered in your ear. "Ow, Z," you cried, "it's too much, the pressure. I have to push."
