I slipped on the green shirt and black leggings I found in the closet, paired up with the combat boots and a leather jacket, which is black. I slipped my dagger in my boots and the little bottle of poison. Jack walked over to me.
“You're so hot when you get ready for war.” He whispered in my ear. I blushed and planted a kiss on his cheek.
“It isn't exactly war since all we have to do is help Theo.” I corrected him. Jack pouted.
“Leave me be. I can believe whatever I want when it comes to my girlfriend.” Jack kissed my cheek.
“And I can say whatever I want when it comes to my boyfriend.” I winked at him as he chuckled.
“Fine.” He rolled his eyes. I giggled at him as I slipped my backpack on and tied my hair in a ponytail. “So what's the plan when we get there?”
I froze, realizing that I still haven't figured out a plan. “Save Theo I guess?” Jack looked at me seriously. “I haven't figured it out yet smart guy!”
“Of course you hadn't.” Jack frowned at me like a father that is deeply disappointed in his son.
“As if you came up with one.” I argued back, standing my ground. Jack brushed through his dirty blonde hair before propping himself down on my bed.
“Since you have the poison to kill those nasty little bastards, you can fight them while I try to find Theo. I promise you that I will try and help anyway I can.” Jack said to me. I shook my head.
“Trying to kill me so quickly?” I pouted at him as I joined him on the bed. “How about this? We both share the poison, kill them, then find Theo?”
“Sounds like a plan but the thing is, we aren't sure how many demons there are, and the risky thing is we don't know if they will kill Theo if we make our presence known.” Jack said as I nodded, it was true but that didn't mean that we couldn't try.
“Yeah, that's going to be a problem because demons have heightened senses, they could hear, see or smell us from miles.” I pointed out. Jack smiled as if he remembered something.
“Well, we each have a can of spray in our cabinets that can mess with the demon's smell.” He said and stood up. He disappeared into my closet and returned moments later with a can.
“So smell is off the list, but we still have sight and hearing to scratch off.” I ticked off in the air. Jack seemed serious at this moment, like he was actually thinking. He then furrowed his brows. “What's wrong Jack?”
“The only person who can get past the demons without them hurting him is Dominic.” Jack sighed.
“Isn't he the goodish bad guy?” I asked as Jack eyed me. He then chuckled.
“He's worse than Damian. Much worse, but in a way, he's better.” Jack said as I nodded, it didn't make any sense but I just nodded.
