Chapter 3

School finally ended and Cody,Amanda, and I were walking to the nearest Dairy Queen to get some ice cream. "Turtles breath through their anus" i blurted out. It was too quiet and the silence was bothering me, that fact just happened to be the first thing that came into mind.

"You're so odd" Cody laughed. In response i shrugged

"Yeah but wouldn't you rather me being odd then boring" i said in defence

"I'd rather have you shut up most times" he replied

"You've been so quiet today" Cody pointed out at Amanda. Which was true, she hardly talked at all and it was strange.

"just not in a talkish mood" she shrugged.

We entered dairy queen and took our orders, i ordered a chocolate milkshake.

"whats Sam like? I mean, you guys know each other well so" i asked not knowing how to finish my sentence. If they've known each other for a while, Cody knows how he acts and what not.

I hardly know the kid, and from what i do know he seems like an ass.

"I love the kid. He's hilarious"Cody replied as if his answer helped at all.

"wow so much detail" Said Amanda

After dairy queen we all went our separate ways home. As i was walking up my street, i saw Sam outside playing basketball on the new net which i'm guessing was just set up.

"Hey" he called out

"hi" i replied with a small wave walking over to him

"you play?" He asked. I grabbed the basketball from his hand and shot in the net, to my luck swishing in.

"i guess" i shrugged with a smirk. I actually did play basketball, it was my favourite sport.

"How was your first day?" i asked him trying to start up a conversation.

"it was great actually, met allot of new people, allot of babes" he replied

"Did you seriously just address girls as 'babes'?" I asked creeped out. I honestly hated these nicknames: babe and baby. They sound so stupid and childish in my opinion

And calling girls 'babes' want even a cool thing anyways

"yeah i did,babe" he said with a smirk on his face to annoy me. I hate to admit it but the smirk was sexy

i rolled my eyes and walked inside my house.

As i was walking to Mr.Walker's class quickly, i was late, i bumped shoulders with someone. Nate Maloley. "Watch where you're fucking going" he spat at me

not in the mood to reply to him, i kept walking and entered the classroom

"Rebecca you're late" Mr.Walker stated

"Sorry" i shyly said then made my way over to my desk.

"hey babe" sam whispered into my ear.

"dont call me that" i spat.

I didn't wake up in a good mood, the last thing i needed was people getting on my nerves.

"Are you on your period or something?" Asked Sam. This really got under my skin. Nothing annoyed me more than people asking if I'm on my period just because of the way i'm acting

Instead of replying, i grabbed Sam's skin between my nails and pinched it as hard as i could. He screamed in shock causing the whole class and Mr. Walker to face us
