Baz

Penelope and I... we've been looking for Simon for three weeks. But he is nowhere to be found. We don't know what to do. I constantly text and call my phone which he took with him. I never get an answer.

"Simon is never coming back," I moan.

Still, I try calling again.

"Hello! Simon's phone!" a man says, but it isn't Simon.

"Who are you? Where's Simon?" I demand.

"Lou!" I hear Simon say in the background. "Give me my phone."

"Just a moment, love," the boy, Lou, says. "Hey stranger, Si wants his phone back, so bye!"

I hear the phone change hands.

"Simon! Please-"

"Don't bother calling me again. I need time and space." Simon snaps.

"When can I see you again?"

"I don't know. Perhaps never," he says after a pause.

"Simon... I love you. I want you home," I plead.

"I know." Then Simon hangs up, and I break down crying.

Simon

I hang up on Baz and Lou notices my sad look.

"What's wrong?" Lou asks. "You can tell me, babe. That's what I'm here for."

"That was my ex," I say. "He did something I don't know how to forgive. He... he really hurt me and I don't know what to do."

"What did he do?" Lou asks.

"He erased my memories," I said in a low voice. We were in a Magic bar, but sometimes Normals wandered, so I had to be careful. "He used a potion."

"Shit, Simon! Did you get them back?" he asks, wide-eyed.

"Yeah. There was an antidote."

"So you ran off to California," Lou says with a smirk.

"An old friend lives here, but I haven't gathered up enough courage to talk to her yet," I say with a frown.

"I'll come with you. Who is it?"

"A girl named Agatha," I say.

"Wellbelove?" he sounds surprised. "Small world. She hangs out at the beach all the time. That's probably where she is now!"

I blink at him before feeling the excitement set in. "Sounds grand! Let's go!"
