how many people did i iritate last chapter :P haha, i thought you would love that. the begining of this may be a little confusing, but i think you will catch on. ya'll're smart :)
"Zayn? Everything okay?" Ronnie asked, snapping her fingers in my face a few times. I blinked hard a few times and looked around. Perception still hasn't started yet. What? Didn't Ronnie and I just snog? I felt like we did. But Ronnie's acting like nothing just happened.
"Uh, yeah. I'm okay," I stammered. Ronnie looked at me strangely.
"Are you sure? You zoned out for a good little while."
"I did?"
"Yeah, it scared me a little. You looked like you were in a trance or something."
"Oh, sorry. I spaced out a little."
"Positive?"
"Yeah." She didn't seem fully convinced, but she didn't question me as the show started. She moved closer to me and laidd down on my arm, her scent filling my nose. What was happening to me? The kiss was so vivid. Did I just daydream? No, daydreams are never really that realistic.
"Zayn, your heart's racing," Ronnie said, placing a gentle hand on my chest where my heart was.
"Really?" I said, a little light on breath. Oh for god's sake, please tell me I'm not crushing on Harry's girlfriend. I can't be. I mean, Ronnie's a sweet, beautiful, lovely girl, but I can't be loving on her.
"Yeah Zayn. Are you feeling okay? You look a little sweaty," she said, touching my forehead. I swear, electricity shot from her fingers and ripped its way through my body.
"I'm okay Ronnie, really."
"I don't believe you," she said, standing up. Her curls bounced playfully as she trotted into the kitchen. I was tempted to go after her and twirl her fiery locks between my fingers. She took a kitchen towel and a bottle of Advil off the counter.
"Here," she said, sitting back down next to me. She pat my face lightly. My eyes were focused on her as she patted. She looked so calm, yet so focused. Her eyes were so captivatingly beautiful. It was so easy to get lost in them. "Does your arm hurt?" she asked with her angelic voice. I nodded, not trusting my voice. She set the towel down on the coffee table and opened the Advil bottle. Three pills dropped into her hand. I reached out and took them from her palm, swallowing them dry. A fishy taste filled my mouth and I covered it with some pieces of popcorn. I had a hard time paying attention to the Perception episode. The only thing was the kiss that I must have imagioned. It was so real though. Maybe it was real. But Ronnie would be blushing and acting all freaked out if it was real. I knew her that well.
"Zayn?"
"Yeah."
"Do you think you're schizophrenic, like Dr. Pierce?" Ronnie asked, looked from the t.v. to me. I never thought of the hallucinations as a medical condition. I was kind of hoping it would come and go. I don't know if I could handle being schitzophrenic. Management would kill me, plus the mates would think I'm a freakshow.
"I- I don't know Ron," I said, frightened. I have never really been frightened. I mean, thunderstorms really put me on edge, but if i had schizophenia, says that their really is something wrong with me. I always knew there was. Those kids in school knew it, and now I do to. Ronnie moved closer to me and placed a smooth hand on my cheek.
"Don't me scared Zayn. It'll be okay. The other guys and I are here for you, you know that." I took her hand that was touching me and brought her fingertips to my lips. Ronnie gave me a strange look as I kissed her palm. "Zayn?"
"Yes?"
"What do you think you're doing?" she asked. I looked down at her hand, realizing this was real. I let go of her hand and looked at her nervously, my face burning from embarassment.
"Sorry," I said quietly. She took her hand back and inspected her fingernails. She didn't look at me.
"What was that?" she asked.
"I- I don't know. I'm sorry, I should go." Thunder crackled as I stood up. Ronnie's hand shot up and grabbed my hand.
"No!" she yelled as she grabbed. I looked down at her, face stuck with fear. "Don't go. The storm's raging and I don't want to be alone," she explained, whispering the last part.
"Are you scared you might... you know..." she nodded before I could find a way to finish. I gave her hand a squeeze and dropped back down next to her. She smiled and laidd her head on my lap, our hands still together. I used my casted hand to brush her hair from her flawless face. I saw her mouth curl into a smile and she closed her eyes, getting comfy on my leg. Her breathing slowed and she relaxed until light snores escaped the little ginger. My hand went from her hair to her arms, rubbing them to keep them warm. She was so beautiful when she slept. Her light brown eyelashes fluttered and she just looked so peaceful. I leaned down and placed a kiss on her temple, careful not to wake her. She rolled from her side to her back, her face facing straight up. Her eyeliner was smudged some, making her look like a little raccoon. I smiled and licked my thumb, cleaning her makeup some. Her lips were so kissable, so shiny. I wanted to kiss them. So, guess what? I did. I leaned down and placed a light, gentle kiss on her lips. She never stirred, thank god. I would have a lot of explaining to do.
I sat there a little while longer, Ronnie falling deeper and deeper into sleep. I looked up a the clock above the tv. It was almost midnight, and I don't think Ronnie would want to wake up with a crick in her neck from sleeping on my leg. I wiggled my leg free and stood up, laying her head down. I slipped my arms under her body and lifted her up, bridal style. Her head laid where my heart was and I wondered if she could hear it beating in her dreams. I walked down the hall and laid her on her bed. She moaned a little as I laid her down. She was laying on her covers, so I just took off my jacket and laid it on her body to keep her warm. I turned to leave when I found myself face-to-face with Gabe.
"So you're just going to leave?" she asked, folding her arms across her chest. Her hair was in a lose bun and her long hoodie coverd her short shorts. At least, I hope she was wearing shorts.
"Harry will kill me if I stay around."
"Concidering you practically just saved his girlfriend, I think you can get away with sharing a bed with her for one night." I bit my lip and turned back to Ronnie. I was really tempted to get on the other side of the bed and sleep with her. But Harry and Louis would kill me if they came home and found me in Ronnie's bed with her.
"I don't know," I said quietly.
"Just share a bed with her. Keep your clothes on and don't get too close," Gabe explained. I actually followed her advice and walked to the other side of Ronnie's bed. I slipped my shirt off (because I hate sleeping in shirts truthfully) and slid under her covers. Gabe gave me a thumbs up and left Ronnie's room quickly. I rolled my eyes and settled into Ronnie's matriss. Ronnie rolled over so she was looking at me if she woke up. I took her hand and inched a little closer to her, drifting off to sleep with Ronnie right next to me.
a symtom of schizophrenia is a false interpritation of reality, so thats what the last chapter was about in case you didnt catch on. hope you enjoyed!
