Chapter 1

"Foster care 'home' number 13" Liam sighed as he rang the doorbell.

A dark haired boy with blue eyes opened the door.

"Mom! The foster kid is here!" He looked at me and smiled. He looks around my age, around the same height too.

I heard footsteps rushing to the door, there was a woman who looked excited. "Why hello Liam! My name is Darcy!"

I stared at her, where they expecting me to say something?

"Hi." I said in a low voice, Darcys smile widened.

"You can put your bags here for now hon." She said pointing at a spot next to the door. I nodded and walked into the house.

"Is he here mommy?" I heard a little girl asking Darcy.

"Yes sweetie." The girl eyes lit up.

"Can you play dollies with me?" She asked, I stood frozen for a second. She reminded me of my sisters, she also looked around 7.

"Now, now Emily. That's not how we treat guest. Let him settle in." Darcy said glaring at her daughter.

"Sorry.." She said pouting.

I sighed, "Ill play dolls with you." She jumped for joy.

"Dollies!" She squealed as she took my hand and show me to her room.

"Which dolly do you wanna be?" I looked at my choices there was the dirty blond male doll, and a brown haired female doll.

I looked at the dolls and thought. She's joking right? Of course I would want the male doll.

"This one." I said showing her my choice. She nodded clearly pleased that I chose the male and not the female.

"This is my doll house!" she did smiling, It was huge "Look how big it is!" she exclaimed.

"It sure is big." I turned around to see the boy around my age.

"Can I play Emily?" he asked as Emilys eyes lit up.

"Really? You never play dollies with me!" She said as she jumped up in excitement.

"Oh, and you have to be this dolly." she gave him the female with brown hair. He looked at her and tilted his head.

"But you know I like boys Emily." I looked at him in confusion, did he mean he liked boy dolls? Yeah that must be it.

She crossed her arms, "But he has the boy doll!" I watched as he rolled his eyes at her.

"Fine." He said with a long sigh.
