Kara and I stood in the middle of the woods but the only thing on my mind right now is keeping her safe. We know we can't stay here forever, we have to leave and make our way to a city. "Mon-el," kara said. "One of the guys said cops. Is that what they are? Cops?"
"I have no idea." I said, I heard it too but I was more focused on getting out the woods. We started walking back.
"When we were falling I saw something in the sky, like a bird...but a machine and very big."
"I don't know what that is either." I said looking around.
     "This place, it's so different."
"That's why we need to blend in. Do whatever you see people doing." We continued our way back to the lake not realizing that the men were still there.
"Hands up don't move!" One of them yelled raising his gun and walking over slowly. Another one looked at us up and and down.
"What are they wearing?" He whispered to another one, but I could hear them, I could hear everything.
"We didn't do anything?" I said putting my hands up.
"That's the girl! I swear that's her!" One yelled from behind.
"We were just taking a walk, I don't know what he's talking about." Kara said. The man pointing the gun at us and motioned toward one of that machines on wheels.
"Get in that car, were gonna take you to the police station for some questioning." He lowered his gun.
     "Car? What—."Kara started.
"Shhh, it's that just get in it and cooperate." I whispered to her. The man walked up over to the car and opened the door for us to get it then when it closed there was a click.

The car had taken off and we had arrived at the police station. I had no idea what we were doing or where we were. In the car I had seen so many things of earth. Buildings, many weird buildings. They had different colors and there were more cars and people. The people were wearing different clothes and had so many different things. I even saw what Kara was talking about in the sky. "We're here." The man said opening the door. I stepped out and looked up, this building was tall and when we walked in the people were all dressed alike. "Wait here." He said walking off into a room. I could see through the window on the door even with something covering it. Then the door opened and he motioned for us to come in. "He's going to ask you some questions." That was all he said then he left and the door shut behind him.
"Hi, I'm Micheal and I'm an investigator for many cases. Your not the only people we are going to ask questions about this." Micheal was calm, calmer than the other guys. But I was confused already. "So, where do you live?" He was typing on something, it was square and thin and it had a screen, I could see it in the reflection of Micheals squares on his face, which I also had no idea what those were.
"Ummm, we ummm I." My heart began beating so fast, I didn't know why to say.
"What's your name is a better question to start off with." He laughed a little, he seemed like a nice guy.
"Mon," I started. But those names didn't seem right here. "Dan." I said.
"Is that's short for anything?" He asked.
     "Ummm no."
"And you?" He asked looking at Kara.
"Kara." She said. I looked at her I had no idea weather that name was popular here or not.
"Last names?" He asked. "Are you married?"
The questions were over whelming me I just wanted to leave. "Yes and Roberts is out last name." I said. I saw the name Roberts on one of the men's badges as I was walking in.
"Ok now where do you live?"
"We just moved here, I can't remember?"
     "Where did you live before?"
"Earth." I hesitated then realized that was the wrong answer because of Micheals look on his face.
"I'm not joking around, where did you live before?" His voice raised.
     "I...I...ummm a place."
"I'm not joking!" He raised his voice more. "Forget that question. Do you know anything about what fell into the water earlier today?" He was standing now.
     "No, we don't."
"So what were you doing in the woods? Running from the police officers and something about laser eyes?"
He looked at Kara. "You supposedly fried a gun with your eyes?"
"We were in the woods because we were taking a walk."
"So what happened to your clothes? Why are they so dirty and...different?" He asked.
"We fell on some dirt." I had no idea what to say.
"No, that's not dirt! There are bullet holes and blood stains on your clothes!" He looked mad. "We have no record of a Dan or Kara Roberts. Who are you really?"
