She panted, turning her head here and there desperately to look for the red-haired guy.

He can't leave like this.

She ran, didn't have a clue about where she was going.

Just then, her eyes caught a glimpse of a red-haired man, walking further away. Wasn't sure it was him, but she still ran there anyway.

Luck was on her side because after she took a closer look, the man was indeed him.

She didn't even realize that she called out his name immediately, probably a little bit too loud because she attracted not just his attention, but other people's as well.

His turned around, and his big eyes widened immediately at the sight of her, standing a little bit far from him. His heart started to race, but he wasn't aware of it.

"Is it because of me?" She shouted, face getting red. "Is that why you quit? Because of me?"

His small lips didn't move a bit. He just looked at her.

"Why don't you answer, why?!" She screamed, ignoring the fact that people were watching her.

He took a deep breath. "Yes," he said. "Because of you."

He looked up, staring at her surprised face.

This would probably be the last time.

"I don't understand why are you so scared of me but," he paused, taking a step back. "I won't get in your way, not anymore."

She felt the lump in her throat, but she swallowed it immediately.

"I don't want you to give up on this show just because of me... so please, don't."

He flashed a bitter smile, taking another step back. "Fighting, Cho Soojin."

He shoved his hands into the pocket, turning the heels around and walked away.

Little did she know that his expression was so heavy. She could even feel his vision getting blurry.

She broke down, crying her lungs out as her legs gave up.

Don't go.

The words didn't come out.

Chase him you arrogant human being! Throw away your pride! It's your fault, it has always been your fault. Say sorry, don't let him go! Quickly!

She never got up.

"Jungkook," she called to no one. "Jeon Jungkook.."

But he didn't hear that.

Or maybe, he did. Because he turned around and approached her as soon as he realized that she was crying.

"Why are you crying?"

Her heart skipped a beat. She looked up, finding the man looking down at her while blocking the sunlight with his tall body.

He squated down in front of her, staring at her with his big bambi eyes.

"What's wrong?" He asked.

I don't deserve him.

"Don't go." She said.

His eyes widened, but he didn't say a thing.

She wanted to continue, but her tears wouldn't let her that easily. She tried so hard to talk but he couldn't hear a word clearly.

His heart ached at her cry, so he decided to calm her down for a while.

With a gentle hug.

He patted her back, just like he used to do when the 16 years old her came to him crying in the carnival.

"I'm sorry.." She cried out. "I'm really sorry." Were the only words she managed to say.

His heart was aching more as he remembered the day where she ran away in fear after she found out that the magician boy was actually Jeon Jungkook.

But why did he feel like forgiving her?

No, you should not forgive an arrogant person like her.

"Stop blaming yourself, Soojin." He finally said. "I've already forgiven you since the day we met."

But i know you too well, i know how much it means for you to let go of your pride like this.

"Stop crying."

I'm proud of you, Cho Soojin.

"Don't leave, Jungkook. Please."

I won't.

"...okay." he smiled.
