The sound of my ringtone wakes me up as it has been ringing non stop.

"Mr Rogers?" I answer

"Yes miss Fortz. You're to resume by 7AM sharp. And drop a summary of yesterday's stock on my desk" he says and I squeal

"Okay sir" I reply and  he hangs up

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!

I scream excited as I get outta bed.

I quickly shower, dress up, eat some cereal and head to the office.

"Hey Guys" I make my presence known as I enter my department.

And almost immediately I receive a bone crushing hug from Sam.

"What's with the other employees?" I ask

"What happened?" Sam asks

"Well on my way up they were staring at me some kinda weird way." I reply

"maybe they're just surprised to see you" Louis says and I just shrug

"Mr Rogers wants me to hand over the  summary of yesterday's stock?" I say looking around

"Here, have it. I just saved your ass" Louis smacks my head playfully with the book

"Yeah, yeah thanks" I catwalk pass Sam, winking at her as I go and she goes wide eyed

"You're not gonna do anything funny with Mr Rogers are you?"

Whaaaatt?

"Hell no Sam. Don't get it twisted"

I walk up to Mr Rogers' office still earning looks from the other workers.  Like WTF?

Knock

Knock

"come in" says a voice from the other side

I open the door

"Oh hey Layla" I greet Mr Rogers secretary

"Good morning miss fortz" she winks at me and I just shake my head, smile and walk to Mr Rogers

When I walk in he's looking out the window so I just greet to announce my self and my my my when Mr Rogers turned it wasn't Mr Rogers.

Yeah

It wasn't

It was Mr Rosario.

"Good morning Miss Fortz" he smirks cynically at me.

"Good morning Mr Rosario" I intentionally draw out his last name.

"Have a seat" he says and I take a seat confused as to why

"Miss Fortz you should be grateful that I called you back to Credo's. Anyway, since you're so smart mouthed I have an Assignment for you. And your answer should be given before the end of today." he looks at me squarely in the eyes

"I want you to be the new manager of Credo's" he says and I choke on my spit and start coughing.

I clear my throat to stop the cough and that does it.

"What!?"

"You heard me miss fortz" he says

"What about Mr Rogers? And besides I like been a stock keeper" I smile sheepishly

"Mr Rogers will be taken care of. I need your answer Miss Fortz" he relaxes on his chair still looking at me

What's with this guy?

"You said I have till the end of today right?" I ask and he nods

"Okay."

"What do you mean he wants you to be the manager of Credo's!" Sam shouts

"Yeah, I mean don't get us wrong we want the best for you but damn! we just got you back" Louis says and I smile apologetically

"Well that's what he said." plopping down on the office chair I place my head in my hand.

"we'll miss you but I guess you should do this." says sam

"And besides you'll have the chance to see Mr hotshot." she continues, saying the last part above a whisper

"shut up sam" Louis nudges her shoulder with his elbow.

"You both look cute" I laugh

"Alright then. I'm gonna say yes. Besides I got you guys by my side so I shouldn't be scared"
