My eyes snapped open and I bolted up panting heavily. A nightmare, I remembered the most of it with perfect clarity and it made me shiver. But I was drenched in sweat.
I got out of bed dressed in pajama pants and a tank top. I grabbed my jacket and gloves before heading out of my room.
It was midnight, I hoped no one was up as I crept down the stairs to the living room. But someone was, It was the red head, he was staring out the window into the outside.
I cursed in my head when I saw him and was wondering how I'd get passed him.
But then he saw something outside, he went to the front door and left through it heading outside.
I waited until the door handle clicked shut before my eyes focused and I ran quickly to the other side of the room on silent feet before quickly heading down the stairs towards the prisons.
Quietly, with my ears perked up for any sounds, I went down the stairs. I could hear breathing behind a door, but I knew who's it was.
After slowly opening the door I slipped inside and shut it behind me.
"Bit late for a visit isn't it?" I heard him say, his voice had a cold tone to it, he thought I was Jacob.
"Perhaps. But I still have a few questions I wanted to ask you." I answered descending down the stairs. The blonde looked up a bit startled at hearing my voice.
But when he saw me his expression lighten.
"Hey."
I couldn't help but smile myself when I saw him smiling at me like that and I had to bite my lip to stop it from growing.
"Hey."
He leaned towards me slightly, but the chains over his wrists held him back.
"You're not supposed to be back here are you?" He asked playfully, but his voice held a hint of concern.
I pushed some hair behind my ear before stuffing my hands into my leather jacket with a shrug.
"Pretty much, but I'm curious." I admitted as I looked at his eyes.
They shifted in the dim light of the dungeon, there was only a small light bulb hanging from the ceiling, and it was usually turned off in the mornings.
"About me." He clarified and I bit my lip again with a nod.
That made him chuckle, he had a light hearted laugh, like the fluttering of bird wings, I loved it, it made me smile.
"Still, shouldn't you be asleep?" He asked curiously, some werewolves liked to walk around at night but mostly we slept in the night unless practicing hunting or scouting.
I sighed through my nose.
"Nightmare." I said simply and he frowned at that.
"What was it about?"
I thought back to when I'd woken up, I could remember the way I'd felt but I some how couldn't recall the details of the dream.
"I...I don't remember." I said softly before looking up at him. He hummed before I shook my head lightly.
"But I came here to ask you some questions." I spoke making he smiled a little.
"Well alright, But first, I'd like to know your name." He told me and I looked over at him with a frown
"I can't tell you."
"Hm?"
"If you say my name in front of the Alpha at any time he'll know I came back."
He sighed.
"Fair enough, I don't want you getting into trouble. Alright ask away."
I rose a brow at him my smile coming back a little.
"Why don't you want me getting in trouble? Why did you protect me when the Alpha threatened me?" I asked him and he hummed.
"Good questions seeing as I'm a Rouge who usually gets any wolf, who's involved with a pack, in trouble, yet the answer is simple. I like you." He smiled at me and I paused before letting a small laugh slip.
"Plus you helped me when he would've killed me." He added, but somehow I felt his previous answer was a little more honest.
"You guys aren't as bad as you seem are you?" I asked while tilting my head, my ears twitching lightly as my tail appeared and started wagging slowly behind me.
"Oh you think so?" He asked and I nodded with a small hum.
"You act a bit like that human story of Robin Hood. Well, you do at least, I've never really met a Rouge before so I don't know what you all are like." I shrugged.
This time he tilted his head at me.
"Really? Well we all can't be charming and dashing fellows now can we?" He asked with a grin. It was getting hard to hold back my laughter.
"Well, I didn't say dashing or charming." I rolled my eyes playfully.
"Yes but you think I'm both." He told me leaning closer to me.
I blinked in surprise and couldn't help but step a bit closer and I rose a brow still smiling.
"And how would you know that?" I asked him in a teasing tone as he leaned even closer to me reaching the limit with his shackles.
"Because we're connected, even if you're a half breed you can feel it too can't you?" He whispered gently.
I stared into his eyes and couldn't help but lean a bit closer, he wasn't playing games.
"I..." a sound caught my attention and I pulled away looking at the door.
He followed my gaze and we were absolutely silent as someone walked passed the door.
They paused in front of the door before continuing down the stairs to a different cell.
"I have to go." I whispered looking back at him and he nodded to me.
"Alright, then go."
I looked at the door and back at him before I paused.
"I'll come back."
"No, you'll get yourself in trouble."
"That's my problem. I want to see you again." I argued, he looked surprised before smiling a little.
"You're a trouble maker aren't you?" He asked gently.
"Maybe so, I guess that's something we have in common." I told him making him snicker softly as I headed to the stairs case and looked back at him.
"I'll see you later Nathaniel."
"Oh just call me Nate. It's shorter." He smiled at me and I smiled back.
"Bye Nate."

I made it back to my room without anyone spotting me, and as I closed my door I sighed softly while closing my eyes. But once I did all I could see was his eyes staring right back at me.
A large smile crawled over my face and I bit my lip trying to contain it before I started giggling for no reason.
I slid down my door running both my hands through my hair.
Even through all the pain he'd gone through today, he smiled, he chuckled, he stayed optimistic. It made me wonder if he was going to be rescued soon, and for some reason. I hoped he would be.
