"You really are the worst, brother..."

Time froze with his last sigh. His last tears. His last struggle. There was no way I could ever alter my last words to him. I will never be used to facing any of his deaths. Every time he slips away, I will forever blame no one but myself. These weapons and armours are redundant in keeping our light last long. It is as if the universe denies the warmth we had kindled. While destiny laughs in the cold corner, reality became harder to swallow. I have failed yet again. I have lost everyone that I held dear. My little brother, Loki. He sacrificed his life in attempt to save mine. I do not deserve to live a life without him. Once, twice, thrice, I will never get used to his passings. If only I did not turn my back on him...

I said to my soul,
be still and wait without hope,
for hope would be for the wrong thing.
And wait without love.
For love would be love of the wrong thing.
Yet there is faith.
But the faith and hope and the love
are all in the waiting.
And the darkness shall be the light
and the stillness the dancing.

In a dark time, the eye begins to see,
I meet my shadow in the deepening shade;
I hear my echo in the echoing wood —
A lord of nature weeping to a tree,
I live between the heron and the wren,
Beasts of the hill and serpents of the den.

What's madness but nobility of soul
At odds with circumstance? The day's on fire!
I know the purity of pure despair,
My shadow pinned against a sweating wall.
That place among the rocks — is it a cave,
Or winding path? The edge is what I have.

A steady storm of correspondences!
A night flowing with birds, a ragged moon,
And in broad day the midnight come again!
A man goes far to find out what he is —
Death of the self in a long, tearless night,
All natural shapes blazing unnatural light.

Dark, dark my light, and darker my desire.
My soul, like some heat-maddened summer fly,
Keeps buzzing at the sill. Which I is I?
A fallen man, I climb out of my fear.
The mind enters itself, and God the mind,
And one is One, free in the tearing wind.

It was a long time ago.
I have almost forgotten my dream.
But it was there then,
In front of me,
Bright like a sun–
My dream.
And then the wall rose,
Rose slowly,
Slowly,
Between me and my dream.
Rose until it touched the sky–
The wall.
Shadow.
I am black.
I lie down in the shadow.
No longer the light of my dream before me,
Above me.
Only the thick wall.
Only the shadow.
My hands!
My dark hands!
Break through the wall!
Find my dream!
Help me to shatter this darkness,
To smash this night,
To break this shadow
Into a thousand lights of sun,
Into a thousand whirling dreams
Of sun!
