Lexi's words had been spinning around in Natalie's head for the past eight hours.

"Sometimes blessings come in disguise."

Natalie wondered what those words meant. Of course, she knew the literal meaning of it, but didn't know its vast implementations.

"Natalie! Our car is here." Sasha yelled from the washroom. Before Natalie could reach for the door or window, someone knocked on the door. She peeked through the small peephole. A young man in a sharp suit was at the door.

"Yes?" Natalie asked as she opened the door.

"Miss Arron?" The man's deep voice asked. Natalie nodded. "I'm your chauffeur for the day. I'll be taking you to the airport and assisting you there onwards." He said. "You can hand over your luggage." He quickly added.

Sasha had mentioned that her friend was rich. But she didn't assume them to be this wealthy and big-shot.

Natalie scurried and handed her small suitcase and her grandmother's large one over. "I'll be waiting downstairs." He said and left.

"Ah! Are you ready?" Sasha asked, finally leaving the washroom after an hour.

It was clear what she had been up to. Her blonde hair was now clean and up in a messy bun. Long silver earrings accompanied a matching pendant and bracelet. Her face was fresh and rosy, contrary to her usual looks. A slight tint of red indicated the presence of lipstick.

"Yes." Natalie replied and glanced at herself in the mirror.

She wore a beige jacket with a white shirt underneath. Her light blue jeans were paired with beige kitten heels. She had a bit of lipstick on, as both, blush and lip colour. She tried hard to conceal her paleness and vampire looks.

As she was about to lock the door, Natalie glanced at the empty hotel room. The walls and floors had seen a lot of tears, but also peace and a few glimpses of happiness. She quietly murmured a short goodbye and locked the latch for the final time.

She rushed downstairs. Sasha was already in the black Audi sedan and staring at her pink pocket mirror.

Natalie opened the door and hooped inside. "Ready?" The driver asked. She nodded her confirmation.

Internally, mentally and emotionally, she definitely wasn't.

There were still so many things she wanted to do. So many things left undone. Sights, unseen. Things, unsaid. And the truth, unsaid.

As they drove towards the airport, Natalie couldn't help but feel nostalgic.

Chicago was beautiful.

Dull, but beautiful. The streets had this vibe around them which was hard to catch. The hustle of the city and quiet of the suburbs were in perfect contrast. Natalie had learned how to embrace the city and everything that came along with it.

She didn't know whether she was ready to leave all of this behind.

She definitely didn't want to.

"We're almost there." The driver announced and broke Natalie's flow of thoughts.

Sasha dug out a bottle of whiskey from the bottle compartment. "To a fresh start!" She exclaimed.

Natalie couldn't help but whisper to herself, "To a new start indeed."
