English Sonnet: "The Skywalker"
That child was The Skywalker
He glided and slid across a thin wire
Such fluid motions, like that of a flier
The children below could only aspire
He knew he might slip as the wire quiverd,
And if he should fall, he would surely die,
As told by the wire wrought with shivers
His skin perspired from being up so high
Applause melted to gasps in the circus lights
His toes slipped from the grasp of the shaky wire
His body and soul, they sunk and took flight
The Skywalker shattered like a fallen empire
His spirit flew into the night, passed the tent's beams,
where The Skywalker became only dreams
