Although Ke YongAn had seen and felt a battle between even Spirit Condensing Level experts, for some odd reason, it seemed Elder Cai was more imposing.

The worm, strangely sensing danger, lounged towards the source. Many began to cry out in alarm. However, just as it arrived an inch away from Elder Cai, he merely swept his sleeve. Although this was a casual wave, none could follow Elder Cai with the naked eye.

Ke YongAn was just about able to see a flash of a sleeve with her special eyes.

Suddenly, the whole group was stunned as the worm suddenly began collapsing into small parts and began to rain down. Ke YongAn was extremely disgusted at the scene and felt the need to expel her stomach, but held it in with a pale face.

It was lucky that she had already seen dead bodies that died in a brutal way, or else Ke YongAn wouldn't have been sure that she would be able to take the scene. Everyone else seemed to be accustomed to the sight, merely cheering in success.

Many also began to pour out more flattering words, to which Elder Cai nodded to.

Even if Ke YongAn did not like how Elder Cai carried himself, she could not deny his strength. The gap between Nine Passages Stage and Spirit Awakening Stage was indeed akin to a firefly to the brilliance of the moon.

That's right! I need some manuals for the Nine Passage Stage. Ke YongAn almost forgot about this fact. After all, the Nine Passages Stage was different from the Qi Strengthening Stage. She could now begin to use Qi as attacks.

However, Ke YongAn was in no rush. Since she didn't quite like the prospects of buttering up to the unreasonable Elder Cai, she decided she would temper her body first.

Uh...how do I do that?

Ke YongAn ran into another problem. She needed to temper her body with the different attribute Qi, but she didn't know what to do with that lightning snake snoring away in her first meridian. There was a potential that she could seriously hurt herself while tempering.

Looks like I have to understand the properties of the lightning first.

Bitterly thinking about this, she urged the snake to wake up. In truth, she was kind of afraid of it now. After all, it had almost killed her back at the Eternal Spring.

When the snake flared up and crackled, Ke YongAn almost jumped. Easing her nerves, she let a trail of lightning Qi go through that passageway and through her arm to flicker on her fingertip.

Unfortunately, Ke YongAn was still unprepared when pain stung her arm.

Lightning was quick and tyrannic, more powerful than most elements, and definitely one of the worst ones to start from. Moreover, it was divine lightning that was within Ke YongAn!

Coming to her senses, Ke YongAn willed the lightning to return, the pain that multiplied each second slowly tearing her arm apart. Cold sweat formed on her forehead and back.

She only dared to breathe when the lightning had fully disappeared. Clutching her still throbbing arm, Ke YongAn slowly tried to relax.

It was at that moment that Yan RuSu dropped by, opening the flap to see how Ke YongAn was doing.

Seeing the pain twisted on Ke YongAn's face, Yan RuSu was startled.

She quickly slipped from her horse's saddle and quickly to Ke YongAn's side. Ke YongAn let Yan RuSu slipped the sleeve upwards and look at her wound. Frowning, Yan RuSu grabbed bandages out of her pouch along with ointment to spread on the wound.

The ointment only made the pain worse, causing Ke YongAn to hiss in pain.

Only after the arm was bandaged up safely did Yan RuSu begin her investigation.
