Chapter 35

I was approaching the school and I could sense Harper was getting nervous
"You ok baby" I asked
"Just nervous, what if they hate me" she said looking out the window. I reached over and  grabbed her hand rubbing her knuckles with my thumb
"Baby just be yourself don't try and be something you ain't because they will see right through you." I said as we pulled up outside the school.
"Ok" was all she said
"Here they come" I said getting out the car "I will
Give them the heads up" I said walking over to them.
"Daddy, we missed you" Tate said hugging me
"You to buddy. Listen daddy has someone really special he would like you to meet, her name is Harper and she is daddy's special friend" I said
"Is she your girlfriend" Bo asked
"Well I would like her to be but that's completely up to you two." Is said
"I don't know." Bo said
"Well why don't you come and say hi, she's in the car and would like to meet y'all" I said taking there hands and walking towards the truck
"Ok." They both said
I opened the back door to my truck and helped them in.
"Boys this is Harper, daddy's Special friend" I said
"Hey Boys how are you doing."
"I'm good ma'am" Bo said
"Are you daddy's girlfriend"Tate giggled
I laughed and buckled them and ran to the side of the truck
"I'm your daddy's friend" Harper smiled looking over at me.
I held her hand
"Ewww Daddy y'all get cooties holding a girls hand" Tate laughed
Harper giggled. I noticed Bo was being a little quiet
"Bobo are you ok" I asked
"Yes sir" he replied. Harper noticed something wasn't right so she said
"Hey boys would y'all like me and your daddy to take you for some ice cream"
This seemed to perk him up
"Yes ma'am yes daddy can we please" Amherst said getting excited
"Well I suppose" I laughed heading in the direction of the DQ
We got out the car and went inside for some ice cream
"Daddy can I sit with Harper" Tate said. Just like daddy always wanna sit with the ladies
"Yeah buddy if it's ok with Harper" I said
"Yeah that's fine buddy you can tell me what you did at school." She said.
"Daddy I need the bathroom can you take me please" Bo asked. It's not like him to need help with the bathroom.
"Yeah buddy"I said
We got to the bathroom and he said
"I like your friend. But she she going to be our new mama" he asked a little uneasy
"No bobo she will never take that away from your mama. Your mama will always be your Mama." I said
"But mama don't want us anymore" he said will
Tears forming in his eyes
"Awww baby come here. Your mama is just angry and what's happening. And if she decides not to see you then you will Always have your good ol dad" I said hugging him
"You promise" she sobbed
"Pinky promise" I replied holding on to his pinky.
"Well I would like Harper to be your girlfriend" he smiled
