Chapter 23

ALAINA

"Mommy's gonna clean you all up, and get you ready to see nonna and nonno." Aylina and Gianna smiled a toothless smile. "You like the sound of that?"

"Babe, where are the boy's shoes?" I sighed, and pulled the girls out of the bath, and into their room. "Their shoes are in the closet Greyson, you have to look." I got the girls dressed, and grabbed their baby bags. I walked out of their room, and down to the boys' room. Greyson was helping Kaiden put his shoes on while Dmitry and Camden tried tying their own. "Boys, if you wanna get to school on time you've gotta let daddy tie your shoes."

Kaiden jumped down, and ran over to me. "Pwincess Pwincess." Aylina smiled a toothless smile, while Gianna was fast asleep already. She is DEFINITELY Greyson's kid. "All set, ready to go?" Dmitry and Camden jumped down and ran over to me. "Ready mommy!" Greyson stood up and grabbed his suitcase. He kissed my forehead, and walked out of the room. I sighed and led the boys out of the room. "I have meetings all day, so I won't be able to pick the boys up from school today." I sighed and grabbed my car keys. "I'll do it," I mumbled to myself. "Just like I do everything else around here." Greyson whipped his head around. "Alaina, please can we not argue today? Not in front of the children at least?" I Walked out of the house, ignoring him. I put the kids in the car, and drove off towards the school. "Mommy, can Haydin come over after school?" I smiled in the mirror at Dmitry. "Of course sweetie, just ask her mommy if she can." I pulled up to the school, and helped the boys get out. "Bye mommy!" The teacher took the boys in the building as I got back into the car, heading towards the safe house. I start work again tomorrow, and I am already knowing between taking care of the kids, and the house, AND working, it's going to be a struggle. I pulled into the garage, and got out, pulling the girls out of the car as well.

I punched in the code, and walked in the house. "Helloooooooooooo?" Maria stood in the kitchen wiping her hands off. "Well if it isn't my favorite daughter in law." I laughed. "Maria, I'm your only daughter in law." She waved her hand. "Are those my two princesses?" She reached out for the girls. I handed her Gianna, who was still asleep. "I swear this girl can sleep through a fire alarm." Maria laughed. "She is definitely Greyson's daughter." My smile faltered a little. "Uh oh, you lost your smile. What's going on?" I ran my fingers through my hair. "I feel like I'm doing everything on my own. Greyson works, I understand that, but he can at least help care for the children he's produced." Gianna decides now is the time for her to wake up. "Have you talked to him about it?" We walked in the living room, and sat on the couch. "We've been arguing constantly about little things." She placed her hand on mine. "You two will work things out. You two remind me of Marco and I when we first had Amina and Carina, and then Adam came along shortly after them. We ALWAYS argued, and then we had Greyson, and he had to grow up faster than the other children because Adam didn't want to be first in command. You have to give him a chance. He's still learning how to be a husband and a father all at once." Nima walked in the living room. "Deve iniziare a guadagnarsi da lei qui." I nodded. "She can come to work with me tomorrow, and be my assistant." Maria raised an eyebrow. I yawned, and laid my head back. "Have you been sleeping?" I yawned again, and shook my head. She took Aylina from me. "Go up and go get some sleep. I'll wake you for lunch." I smiled a small smile, and go up, going up to my room.  I laid in the bed, and closed my eyes, taking in the much needed sleep.

NIMA

Look at her just coming when she pleases. Things aren't right at home and she just comes running here. I paced back and forth in my room. How can I get rid of her so that I can have Greyson all to myself? You could always suffocate her in her sleep, run her over, set her on fire. Damn Nima you are ruthless. Just as ruthless as Greyson. "Nima, I am going out to the garden with the girls, Alaina is asleep and is to not be disturbed." I nodded, and watched her leave. Time to put my plan into action. I walked out of my room, and made sure no one was around. I crossed over to where Alaina was sleeping, and tried to open the door but it was LOCKED!

Clever girl Alaina, but you won't be so lucky next time. Greyson WILL be mine.
