Sunday night came way too fast. I was shaking so bad that I couldn't straighten my hair. Thankfully Emma was there to help me.

"Ow!" I screamed for the thirteenth time as she brushed my hair. The woman had no mercy when it came hair.

"Hey," She said, "It's not my fault that you hair is so easily tangled." She said yanking the brush through once more causing me to whimper.

"Beauty is pain Elle." She stated as she picked up my flat iron and begin to transform me.

She finished a good fourty minutes later (What? I have curly hair) and then made me stand saying, "Alright do your makeup big girl I still gotta make myself look presentable."

I began with a smokey eye to go with the darkness of my dress. I then added a little bit of red lipstick and finished with mascara.

Content with myself I walked across the hall to my room to change. I slipped into the dress-loving the way it slid up my body and then clung to it.

"ELODIE!!!" I heard Emma scream.

I ran across the hall with my dress still not fully on.

"What?" I screamed when I crossed the threshold of the bathroom, "Oh gosh." I said as I saw what she screamed about. Then I started laughing. Her curling iron had been on top of her extensions and had burned a whole track of them.

I fell to the floor laughing at her face and seeing the destroyed track in her tiny hands.

"THIS ISN'T FUNNY!" She said throwing the track into the trash.

"Here." I said finally getting my laughter under control and standing up. I picked up the other two tracks and helped her put them in before she set to curling her hair.

"You ok?" I asked as I began to walk out.

"Yeah." She grumbled as she stared straight ahead in the mirror.

I shut the door and started laughing again as I finished putting my dress on.

We arrived at the party thirty minutes late because my mom had lost the car keys...again. The party was at Chase's house due to the fact that he was the male. I rolled my eyes at the thought. His house was just as big as I remembered it to be and beautifully decorated. The family had hung twinkling lights in the trees leading to the front door where they were greeting everyone.

My throat started to constrict when I knew that's where Chase would be. I stopped walking because I felt like I was going to puke. I grabbed Emma's hand and pulled her away with me while my mom kept walking on-not noticing I had left her.

"What's wrong?" Emma said following me across the lawn and behind the bushes.

"I feel like I'm going to be sick." I said looking at her and then the grass.

"Well aim for the tree, you are not messing up this dress." She said laughing. I started to laugh to and I immediately felt better.

"It's alright. You're going to be fine." Emma said rubbing my back and soothing me. I nodded and we emerged from the bushes and slowly making our way up to the house.

Chase's POV

I was tired of smiling at guests and thanking them for coming. The party had started forty minutes ago and Elodie wasn't here yet. Her mom had showed up without her and not offering up any reason as to why Elodie wasn't with her. Since then I had started to freak. What if she didn't show up? I mean she had to but what if she didn't?
