Chan's sigh broke the silence, everyone's undivided attention now on him, expecting his next words. Yerin started to think that Chan wasn't just anyone in this district. She started to think that he held a certain position that asserted authority. Pushing the thought to the back of her mind, she reminded herself to ask her brother later on. She then realized that she had many unanswered questions that she needed answers to, and Chan might just have the answers to her questions.

"As you already know, this is my sister, Bang Yerin. She was sent here because our parents were killed when their car was blown up on the way back from work," he paused, letting out yet another sigh.

Yerin's eyes widened at the new found information. She knew her parents died but she didn't know how. Someone had obviously planned their death. A relatively new car wouldn't have exploded for no reason. It then led her to think about the kind of work they did for someone to want to kill them. She continued to listen to what Chan had to say in hopes of unearthing other information that she was constantly kept in the dark from.

"She obviously isn't going to live alone in her previous house because it's too dangerous so she was sent here to live with us instead. It was an order from mum and dad after they found out that there was someone trying to target the family's business," he continued. "For now, why don't we go around the circle and introduce ourselves," he said trying to lighten up the mood.

The boy next to Yerin went first, introducing himself rather cheerfully.

"Hi! I'm Yang Jeongin, but just call me Jeongin," he said with his bright smile never leaving his face.

"I'm Minho. You can always come to me if need any help," he said, winking at me.

"Hi!!! My name is Han Jisung but you can call me Jisung. I hope we get along well!" the brown haired boy practically screamed. Come to think of it, he reminded me of a squirrel she once saw when she was younger. Yerin giggled at the thought.

"Call me Woojin. Let me know if you need anything," "Changbin" "Hii I'm Seungmin. I might come off a little cold at first but I hope we can get along," "I'm Hwang Hyunjin. It's nice to finally have a girl around," they said, smiling.

One by one, they took turns introducing themselves, until it was time for the blonde boy to speak. It would be an understatement if she said she wasn't amazed at how deep his voice was. His deep, mature voice definitely did not match his small face and his pretty features.

"I'm Felix, your roommate," was all he said before focusing his attention on something else in the room.

Those few seconds that he spoke brought shivers down Yerin's spine. She constantly forgot how deep his voice was when he spoke, she couldn't help but be in awe. She was snapped out of her trance when Chan's voice echoed through the room, asking her if she had anything she wanted to ask them. She thought hard, trying to come up with some questions for them when one suddenly popped into her mind. Slowly, she recited her question for everyone to hear.

"Who exactly are you guys? And where exactly are we?" she asked cautiously, watching each member's expression in case she had said something wrong.

"Right now, we are in District 9. The first district the government decided to kill off. There's barely anyone left here so we decided that this would be the best place to reside in," Minho kindly explained. "It's quite peaceful in the day but once night falls, things can get ugly," he continued, his smile fading.

"As to who we are," Chan sighed again for the third time that night, looking around the circle giving the other boys reassuring looks, "we formed a gang called Stray Kids and I am the leader," he stated. That explains the amount of authority he has around here.

She didn't know whether she should fear them or accept them. Hell, her brother was the leader of the gang. So many more questions flooded her mind but she decided it was best if she asked them later personally. She only nodded her head in response, leaving the boys surprised yet thankful that she didn't start a scene. There's a reason why they kept their identity a secret to the outside world.

Sensing that she didn't have any other questions to ask them, the boys then took turns asking her questions.

"How old are you?" "I'm 18," hearing this, Jeongin jumped up from his seat, shocked.

"You're older than me?!" he exclaimed, eyes wide open. The rest only laughed at the poor boy as he sank back into his seat, his cheeks flushed red from the embarrassment.

The night went on like that, the boys asking questions of her and in turn Yerin asking questions of the boys. It also gave Chan the chance to get to know his sister better after being apart for thirteen years. It felt nice to have people to talk to and laugh with. It definitely was different from when she was back in her old district, but she somehow felt more at home there with her brother and his friends.

However, she couldn't help but steal glances at the blonde boy whom she now knew as Felix. When she first saw him smile, it made her heart flutter. The way his eyes turn into crescent moons and how they sparkle in the white light of the living room lamp caused her to feel weird in her stomach. She could hear the loud beating of her heart as if it could threaten to just beat right out of her chest. She didn't know what she was feeling but she liked it.

She didn't realise she had stared off into space, coincidentally staring at Felix until he noticed and sent her a smile. Her eyes widen in realisation and she instantly tried to cover her now blushing cheeks with her hair, Felix chuckling at her embarrassed self.
