Masked Creature

There's a creature of beauty.

They put on a fake face.

Then they turn on you

And turn life into a race.

You start wondering how to respond.

You're too good of a person

To do anything rash.

So all you can do is hold up your chin.

They never take off their mask,

But you can see right through it.

When they're near you can't relax.

They don't give off a good spirit.

Most of your friends don't believe you,

So you start to wonder how much

Trust your friends actually have in you.

Should you still keep in touch?

I don't expect an answer right now,

But hopefully I'll get one soon.

I'm confused with how to cope

With a shadow over the moon.
