I toss the ping pong ball, effortlessly sinking into the last cup and winning yet another game of beer bong.

If I weren't underage, I'd go out to the college parties to showcase my skills, but since I'm still seventeen, high school parties will have to do for now.

"Damn girl, you sure know how to play," a voice speaks, and I turn, my gaze meeting an unfamiliar face.

I smile and pick up my drink from the table. I blush because, like any teenage girl, I love receiving compliments, especially when they're coming from a boy as cute as the one in front of me.

"Thank you," I reply, leaning against the wall next to me. I extend my hand out, "I'm Tris."

He shakes it and smiles, "I'm Manny. Thanks for coming."

I look around the house, "Oh so this is your party?" I ask. I came with a friend who goes to the high school across town. That must be where Manny goes to.

He nods, "It is, so I guess that I'm the one who gets to make the rules around here."

I laugh and tilt my head to the side, not understanding what he meant.

He looks at me and raises an eyebrow, "My only rule is that you have to be my new beer pong partner."

I chuckle and nod. This boy is absolutely adorable. I grab his hand and lead him to the set of beer pong tables. "I'm fine with that," I smile and start to set up the game.

I'm pouring in the last of the beers when Manny comes back with two of his friends.

I set the cans to the side and turn my attention to the small group of boys approaching me.

"Manny, you've got a girl tossing with you?" The taller of the other two boys asks.

Manny smiles and nods, leaving the others and standing close to me. "Yeah, this is Tris. Tris these are my friends Enrique and Chris."

I step forward and introduce myself to both of them.

Enrique, the one that had previously spoken up, turns to me and asks, "Do you need a refill before we get started?"

I open my mouth to answer, but before any words can come out, Manny interrupts.

"Actually man," he starts, putting his hand on his friend's shoulder and stepping in front of me, "I was about to go refill her drink."

I raise my eyebrows but hand him my drink anyways.

"Oh, I see," Enrique says with a smirk. "Manny likes you."

I laugh and shake my head. "I just met the kid."

Chris joins in, "Yeah, but that's Manny's way of flirting."

I'm about to say something, but Manny returns, so I keep it to myself.

I grab my cup and thank him. "Are you ready to start?" I ask, waiting for him to finish the shot he had been passed the moment before.

"Yup," he replies with a cheeky grin. "Are you two ready to get your asses whooped?" Manny asks his friends who merely shake him off.

He looks at me and smirks, "They think they're good."

I laugh and hold out my fist, "Then let's shut them up."

He raises his eyebrows and bites his lip before shaking his head. He gives me my fist bump before looking down at me, "Let's do it then."

And that's precisely what we did.

Game after game, Manny and I beat our opponents with ease.

I'm a bit past tipsy at this point, and apparently so was everyone else since the party was clearing out.

I stand on my tip toes and look around for the friend I came with.

"What are you doing?" Manny asks.

"I'm looking for my friend," I say, the slur in my words evident.

"Liana?" He questions and I nod. I'd forgotten that they go to school together. "I saw her leave with Enrique like an hour ago."

I throw my head back and groan. "That little shit; she was my ride home."

Manny looks around. Everyone else was gone, leaving behind their messes of course.

"I have a guest bedroom if you want to stay in there. I'd give you a ride home, but I've been drinking," Manny offers.

"Are you sure that's okay?"

He nods, "Yeah, I'm positive. I'm sure I have a shirt or a hoodie that you can change into, but first, follow me." He holds out his hand, and I take it, following him into his kitchen.

I jump up onto the counter, watching while Manny pours a glass of water and starts rummaging through a cabinet.

He stands in front of me, holding out the glass of water and two aspirins. "So your hangover's not that bad tomorrow," He says, and I nod because this is isn't my first time getting drunk. I know the drill.

I look down at him, thinking about Enrique's words. After hearing that, I had reciprocated with the flirting, leaving us inseparable the whole night.

He's a handsome boy, and he's so sweet.

"Can I kiss you?" I ask, only half comprehending what I'm saying.

Manny chuckles and shakes his head. "I don't think so, Tris."

I frown, "You don't want to kiss me?"

"That's not the case at all. I want to kiss you, but you're not fully capable of giving consent right now." Before I can respond, he grabs my hand and helps me down from the counter. "Follow me; I'll show you the guest bedroom."

We stop by his room first, and he gives me a shirt that says his baseball team's name on it. He waits outside the door while I change before we finally reach the guest bedroom.

He sits on the bed while I climb under the covers. "Do you need anything before I go to bed?" He asks.

I shake my head. "I'm okay. Thank you for letting me stay."

He stands and walks to the doorway. He turns off the lights so that I can't see him, but I can still hear his voice. "Of course. Oh and if in the morning, you still want that kiss just let me know. Goodnight Tris."
