Do you remember?

How you were the first to wait for me.

From that detention on, you did something surprising.

I walked out of my last class to the lockers.

You stood there.  At the edge of the lockers.

By the time I packed and met your gaze, you were smiling at me. Your eyes softened, giving me that heart fluttering eye smile of yours.

"Jimin are you coming?"

Your friends stopped behind me. I stood there stiffly, not wanting to draw attention to myself.

"No I'll see you guys tomorrow." You replied and waved them goodbye.

You tucked your hands into your black jeans. "Let's go." You stated.

I clenched onto the strap of my shoulder bag, staring back at you.

"I'll walk with you." You simply said.

You turned to walk out of the school doors.

I gulped, feeling my heartbeat gently pound against my chest.

That afternoon was rather breezy.

You walked beside me in silence. I fell slightly behind you, fastening my footsteps once in a while.

My hands were still clenched onto my bag straps, afraid to let them fall into the space between us.

"You live close to here?"

I turned my head slightly before snapping my gaze back to the ground nervously. I nodded quickly.

"I didn't ever see you get picked up or anything, so I thought you did."

Your eyes travelled to my feet, noticing my fastening steps.

In seconds, you had slowed down, taking shorter strides.

I caught up, feeling the corners of my lips tug up at your subtle gesture.

My street was getting closer.

Of course, you wouldn't have known.

I stopped abruptly at the entrance of my street. You didn't seem to notice the halt in my footsteps and instead, you continued walking.

A sudden panic coursed through me.

I couldn't just call out your name.

By the time I take out my notebook and write to tell you that I lived here, you would've walked quite a distance already.

In the spur of the moment, I did what came to my mind first.

My hand reached out hurriedly, feeling the soft fabric of the hem of your shirt brush against my fingertips before I grasped on tightly.

You stopped.

As you turned back, my head lowered, feeling my face burn in embarrassment.

My fingers loosened and I awkwardly retracted my hand.

Lifting up my arm to point at the direction of my street, I gained a sound of confirmation from you. My gaze stuck to the ground.

"Oh you live here?"

I nodded quickly and bowed slightly in an act to thank you.

Hurriedly, I turned on my heels.

"See you tomorrow Hana."

I halted midway before I speed-walked the whole way to my house.

All in the while, my face burned of embarrassment in my actions.
