Nya doubled over and started to cough.
"Nya you should rest, I can work on the serum." Zane looked at her worriedly as she forced herself up and back at her work table.
"No. No. We have to finish this." Nya spoke, looking over the bottles of liquid laid out in front of her. Zane stood quiet, turning back to work. The spots on her arms had grown more intense and the symptoms along with it. They had worked on a remedy for months but to no avail. They couldn't find a cure. Nya refused to give up and as her symptoms worsened she pushed herself more and more.
One day she had finally snapped. She shoved her papers off her desk and they scattered all across the floor. She sank down onto the ground and curled into a ball, starting to weep.
Zane sat down next her calmly. "We'll find a cure." He said positively.
"I just want to be back to normal." She sobbed.
Zane wrapped his arms around her in a hug. "You will, I promise."
