Maybe, just maybe they are going back to Mike Fullman because she has developed a small crush on him. No, of course not, wait, could it be? Could Natalya actually have a crush on a man she fears deeply? On a man there is nothing on. Someone who could be a murderer, molester, or thief for all she knows? Possibly all of the above plus more? No, that's impossible...

Or is it?

___________

NATALYA WALKS INTO THE ORPHANAGE once again on Monday morning. Mike there before her because she was running a bit late. Knowing that Mrs. Brooke will have her head for this, she hides behind Mike and says she's been there the whole time when Mrs. Brooke came down for breakfast that morning. Mike backing her up on her lie that Natalya herself could barely contain. With his help, she is successful with not getting in trouble with her boss.

"Thank you!" Natalyas small voice squeaked out with a small smile. Still not over what she thought on that fearful two day weekend. Nate came bounding down the stairs moments later, disrupting the comfortable silence.

"Natty!" He yells, jumping into a hug. Nate has just started calling Natalya 'Natty' as a nickname. She only hopes that it doesn't catch on with the other kids.

"Hey there Nate! Miss me?" She giggles at the young boys excitement. Mike just let out a snort and turned around, walking away from the living room and into the kitchen.

"Did you bring it? Did you bring it!?" Natalya rolls her eyes, knowing that she should of expected Nate to ask that question.

"Yes, of course I brought it, silly!" she let out an exaggerated sigh. Her hand going down into her bag, digging around for a few moments. She pulls out a small box wrapped neatly with boys birthday wrapping paper.

His eyes go wide, grabbing the small box from her grasp almost immediately. With two small tugs, the wrapping paper is on the ground. The lid to the box falling onto the floor, Nate is tempted to squeal like a girl when he sees his small birthday present. A toy key... Next thing Natalya knows, Nate is racing up the stairs and into his room.

"Be careful on the stairs Nate!" she calls after him, shaking her head in disappointment. With that said, Natalya walks into the kitchen to find Mike. Her eyes trailing over the room to find him hunched into the fridge.

"What are you looking for?" Natalya began to engage in casual conversation with the undercover murderer. Not truly knowing who, or what, he is.

"Nothing," the fridge door abruptly shuts, Mike standing up straighter in the small woman's presence. A feeling raising in his chest, an emotion he did not understand when he heard the fear in Natalyas voice. Just the thought of her fearing him made that odd feeling rise in the pit of his stomach. Her actually fearing him... That made him feel that feeling even worse. Sadly, he does not know what that feeling is.

"Nothing is always something..." the fear in her voice vanished. The feeling of happiness from just speaking to Mike made Natalya smile. A smile she could not wipe off her face like you could a fake smile. Oddly enough, Natalya did not notice this feeling of happiness. Thinking that it is because of Nate's birthday, nothing more, nothing less.

The next thing Natalya knows is Mike is gone, storming out of the room without another word. She must have hit a nerve, he normally does not do that. Normally... A word she now cannot use to describe her coworker. Natalya does not believe Mike is normal anymore, he isn't just little old Mike Fullman. She thinks that he is something more, someone more. Mike Fullman is just an act, a facade.

At least, that's what she thinks...
