I can't believe how much my heart thumped as I walked. For over a hundred years I have waited for this. The more I walk the more the butterflies fluttered. White was most definitely not my colour but my fears seemed to wash away when he looked behind him to catch a glimpse of me. His beauty stood out as if everyone else was coal and he was a diamond. How did I get so lucky?
Elijah's POV
My heart was in my throat as I heard the sound of the music begin and the gentle sound of her heels making contact with the stone ground. I could resist the urge to look at her as she stalked down the decorated aisle,white was most definitely her colour. Her radiant smile beamed brighter than the sun when we caught my gaze. How did I get so lucky?
Megara's POV
When the ceremony began I completely ignored what the priest was saying. I couldn't stop staring in his brown orbs. As he grabbed my hands to say his vows, I took a huge shaky breath
"My beautiful megara, I will not vow to tell the truth always or to make you smile everyday I know you hate clichés" he began as everyone chuckled at his words
"But I will be cliché this one time, I vow to be a broken man when I'm not with you, I vow to hold your hand through our dark times and there will be many" he continued every word making my smile bigger as he began to rub circles on my hands with his thumbs
"And I vow every kiss will be meant with love, megara my darling I will never leave you till death do us part and in our case it may take awhile" he finished leaving a gentle kiss on my hands before placing the ring on my finger .
"Elijah, as you know, I hate clichés so I'm gonna vow on the things that matter" I began already hearing Rebekah sighing knowing what I was gonna say
"I vow to to let you have the last slice of pizza no matter how much I want it, I vow to laugh at even your worst jokes just to boost your ego" I said causing Nikklaus to shout out
"Like he needs that, love" leaving everyone in a fit of laughter
"But most importantly, I vow to never watch a movie without you" I said before sighing and smiling at his bright face
"I know theses vows are ridiculous, but these are what matter, we already know we won't leave and that we will always love each other so why should vow to keep them when my heart has been given to you I will be with you always and forever elijah" I finished my heart beating from my long list of stupid vows
"What?" I questioned as he stared at me full of shock
"I love you" he whispered making my face red as a cherry
"I now pronounce you husband and wife, you may-" the priest said before I cut him off
"Way ahead of you mate" I said pulling Elijah's face down to mine into a tender kiss.
Our first kiss as husband and wife. I wish for many more
