"Okay, I'm home." I said and walked through the door with Ellise on my hip.

"In here," I heard a high pitched voice.

I furrowed my eyebrows and saw Joe and Byron sitting on the ground, helium cans in front of them.

"Hey?" I said. "What's this?"

"Helium," Byron smiled with his voice high.

"I see," I chuckled and handed him Ellise.

"Daddy," She smiled.

"How was the airport?" Joe asked, his voice as high as Byron.

"It was fine, annoying." I shrugged. "I did however see Hannah, one of my old co-workers."

Joe coughed slightly, "what did she want?"

"Nothing," I rolled my eyes, "She just stared."

"You were fired," Byron added with his voice back to normal.

"That is not my fault."

"It kind of is," He smiled.

"Have I ever told you I still think about stabbing you?" I chuckled.

"No but I can tell."

"Good," I nodded and went into the kitchen.

I grabbed my sushi from the fridge, taking a bit of my California roll.

"So, dinner tonight?" Joe asked.

"Sure," I shrugged.

"Only our inner circle though, ask Tyler if he can watch Ellise." Joe said.

"Done," I nodded. "Is Emily coming?"

"No, we got into a fight earlier and she's not talking to me until after her shoot tomorrow." Byron said.

"What was the fight about?" I asked.

Byron looked at me and narrowed his eyes.

"Sorry," I nodded.

"Anyway, I'll be spending the night here again." He said.

"Great," I smiled.

"I need a smoke." He said and handed me Ellise back.

He walked outside as I looked to Joe.

"So at least you guys aren't completely awkward about what happened."

"Why would I be?" I laughed. "I'm still in love with him and he's realizing that he can't escape it."

"Please don't sleep with him again tonight." Joe said. "He needs to talk to Emily first."

"I wasn't even trying to sleep with him the first time, it just happened."

"You wanted it to happen."

"That's why I let it happen, I didn't plan that."

"Just please promise you will not instigate it this time." He said.

"I promise," I said.

"Alexis," Ambar laughed as she jumped on my back.

I laughed as I caught her.

"What do you want?" I asked.

"I just wanted to see if you'd catch me." She said as I placed her down. "Watch me try it on Caspar."

I smiled as she took off, jumping on to his back. Instead on him catching her, they both fell to the concrete as I laughed. I watched as they both smiled at each other, sharing a kiss. I felt my heart flutter for the two, I loved them and hope their love story wasn't as shitty as mine was.
