"I am so, so sorry for the late notice." I said as I rushed through the door with Ellise.
"Don't be, honestly." James said as he pushed the door shut.
"I feel really bad." I confessed. "Joe is busy filming with the guys, Byron is dealing with his girlfriend from hell and Tyler is going to be busy with me."
"For the last time Lex, it's okay." He grabbed the toddler from me. "Now, I do believe you have somewhere to be before noon."
"Thank you so much." I told him and sat the diaper bag on the couch. "I owe you big time."
He laughed as I hurried back out to my car. Tyler was in the passenger seat as Cole sat in the back. I let out a sigh, looking to Tyler.
"Are you sure we should even go?" He asked. "She had a gun pointed at your head just yesterday."
"I know," I placed my hands on the steering wheel, "but I'd never stop thinking about why she wanted to see me if I didn't go."
"Alright," he shook his head. "Let's go and see a psycho."
----------------------------------------------------
"She's on mood stabilizers already, so she should be pretty calm." The cop told us. "The therapist also said that she should not be allowed to hold the baby, she's going to ask but don't let her."
"Got it," Tyler nodded.
"In here," The cop pushed a door open, allowing us in.
Kylie was sat at the table and I watched her mood shift when we walked in. She smiled wide.
"You guys showed," She said. "When they pulled me in here, I thought it was my lawyer already."
"Yeah, we showed." I replied and sat. Tyler placed Cole on my lap as he giggled.
"Thank you guys for coming." She told us. "I'm so, so sorry for what I did. I really don't know what it was."
"What is the real reason you wanted us here?" Tyler asked.
I watched her smile fade as her body fell into a relaxed state.
"I forgot you're smarter than you look." She rolled her eyes. She sat forward. "Look, I have two choices. If you guys press charges, I go to jail. If you don't then I go to a mental institution. Jail is twenty years, Nut house is two."
"Are you asking us to not press charges?" I laughed.
"Duh," She shook her head, narrowing her eyes.
"That's not happening." I told her. "You put my life in danger, Tyler's life in danger, Cole's life, Joe's life and my daughter's life in danger. I'd have to be dead to not press charges against you."
"I can arrange that." She shrugged. "If you press charges, I will kill you the second I get out."
Tyler laughed, "that's if you ever get out. And if you ever come near any one of us again, I'll do what I have to do."
"Let's go." I stood, placing Cole on my hip. "Say goodbye Kylie, because you'll never get to see him again."
She crossed her arms, obviously angry.
"Come on," Tyler placed his hand on my back.
We walked out and back to my car. I put Cole in his car seat and climbed in the driver's seat. I looked over to Tyler and smiled softly.
"We make a good team." He said.
"Tyler," I said.
"Yeah?"
"Do you think I'll ever end up with Byron?" I asked.
"What?"
"I feel like the fact that this all keeps going in a loop and just keeps dragging on, it may never happen. He'll probably end up marrying Emily and I'll be swept aside."
"What about Conor?"
"I'm going to tell him no, I can't accept his proposal if I don't love him." I said. "It's not fair to him."
"So if you don't marry Byron, then you'll find someone even better."
"If I don't end up with Byron, I'm moving back to the states."
"Why?"
"I just feel like the states suit me better."
"What about Ellise? That's not fair to Byron."
"Emily doesn't want her, therefore Byron can't argue with me."
"Alexis, you're being a bitch. You're so wrapped up in yourself. Have you even thought about how Byron feels? He's having to chose between a relationship that could bring him so many places and you and his child. And you're saying if he doesn't chose you and El, that you're leaving his life forever."
I looked between his eyes and sighed.
"You need to give him time, okay?"
"I'm running out of time Tyler."
"No you're not."
"All decisions are final the night of the Vamps release party." I said. "It's only a month and a half away, so yeah, I am running out of time."
----------------------------------------------------------------
After I dropped Tyler and Cole off, I went and got Ellise and then headed to Byron's because I need to grab some of Ellise's clothes. They all managed to end up at his flat. I knocked on the door and watched it fly open a minute later. My eyes met with Emily's.
"I'm just here to grab some of her clothes."
She stayed silent and moved out of the way. I went straight to Ellise's room and sat her down. She began playing with some toys as I grabbed one of her extra bags. I pulled open drawers and gathered clothes from each one. I came to her shirt drawer and picked up a stack, placing it in the back. I went to close the drawer but saw a little velvet box. I reached in and grabbed it, pulling it open. I saw a beautiful diamond ring and felt my heart drop.
Byron was going to propose to Emily.
"Hey," Byron said as he entered. He paused when we made eye contact and he saw the ring. I pushed it shut, dropping it back in the drawer.
I grabbed the bag, zipping it up.
"Alexis," he said.
I grabbed Ellise and turned, he was stood right in front of me.
"You could have just told me you were going to propose to her." I said quietly, my voice cracking as tears formed. "I'd rather you say the words to break my heart than me see it."
"Alexis, you're wrong." He shook his head.
"I have to go." I said, wiping away a tear that fell. I hurried out of his flat and back down to my car. I got Ellise buckled and raced back home. When I got there, Conor and Caspar were sat on the couch with Joe.
I walked into Ellise's room, ignoring them completely. I sat Ellise down and grabbed her bag, unpacking the clothes into her dresser.
"Hey Lex," Joe said as he entered. "Are you okay?"
I looked at him and let out a sigh, a tear fell down my face.
"Byron is proposing to Emily." I told him. "I found the ring."
"Did you talk to him?"
"I couldn't." I shook my head. "What the hell am I supposed to say?"
"Does he know that you know?"
I nodded, "he saw me holding it."
"Lex, I'm so sorry." He hugged me.
I shut my eyes, wrapping my arms around my cousin.
"I told you he didn't want me anymore." I sobbed.
