"Okay, this looks amazing." I said and looked at the room full of decorated tables. "I think tomorrow night is going to be perfect."
"Me too," Brad smiled, placing his arm around me. "Also I heard you broke up with Tyler."
"I think we're way better as friends anyway. There's too much history I guess." I said.
"Also, just because we haven't spoken about it, our session at the party..."
"We were both drunk." I said. He smiled, letting out a breath.
"Thank bloody hell you agree."
"Never speak of it again?" I asked, holding my hand out.
"Deal," He shook it.
I smiled, "well you have to go get your suit so you better go."
"Thanks Lex," He said and hurried off.
I walked through the tables, smiling softly. I got on the stage, setting my clip board down. I grabbed the mic and flipped it on.
"Hello," I said into it, making sure the speakers worked.
"And right there where we stood was holy ground." I sang lightly. "Tonight I'm gonna dance for all that we've through but I don't wanna dance if I'm not dancing with you."
"And she sings?" I heard someone laugh.
I jumped, dropping the mic, letting it bang against the stage. I looked over, seeing Brad.
"I forgot my coat."
"Oh my god," I said and grabbed the mic.
"That was really good."
"That was a small portion." I said. "Anyone can sound good for a couple lines of a song."
"I guess that's true, sing some more."
"You're late to meeting the guys." I said, placing the mic back.
"They can wait, come on."
"Well I need to go." I said. "I still haven't bought a dress."
"This isn't over." He said.
"I think it is." I nodded.
-------------------
"Okay," I pulled the dressing room door open. "What about this one?"
"You look hot." Jackson said.
"You've said that with the last six dresses, which one?"
"Oh good, you haven't picked yet." My mom hurried over with another dress. "I saw this and thought it'd look stunning on you."
"Might as well." I grabbed it and went back in. I dropped the current dress to the floor and changed into the new one.
This one was a pastel pink color. It reached just above the knee. It had thing straps and a sweetheart neckline. I smiled, placing my arms to the side. I zipped up the back and watched as it shaped my body perfectly. I pulled the door open.
"Okay that one is hot." Jackson said.
"I love it," My mom squealed.
"I love it too." I said.
"Then you buy it." My mom said.
"Do you think Byron will like it?" I asked.
"Yeah, I think he'll love it." Jackson nodded.
"Great," I smiled.
----------------------------
"I'm home!" I announced as I walked through the door.
"There she is!" Joe said, turning the corner with his vlog camera.
I smiled, "Really? You can't say hi without the camera?"
"Well I was vlogging you're adorable daughter, I wanted them to see her mum too."
"Hey guys." I waved to the vlog.
"Where were you anyway?" Jack asked from the couch.
"Hi Jack, for the eighth time I was helping Brad with the venue for tomorrow night and then went shopping for a dress with my mom and Jackson."
"Oh yeah," He laughed.
I shook my head and went into my room, dropping the dress on my bed. I walked out and saw Ellise on the couch with Jack now, poking at his phone.
"Hey baby," I smiled.
"Mama," She lifted her arms, reaching for me.
I grabbed her, kissing her face.
"Are you excited for tomorrow?" Joe asked.
"Yeah, actually, I am."
"Have you talked to Byron?" Jack asked.
"Not since yesterday."
"Same," they both said.
"Well mama is hungry, go with Jack." I handed him Ellise.
I walked into the kitchen and watched as Joe began vlogging again, talking to Jack. I smiled softly. I don't know what it was about tomorrow night but, I just felt so nervous and happy. Maybe it was because I was kind of the "host" alongside the boys. Another thing that was weird was that Byron hadn't spoken to any of us all day. No matter what, he always checks in with either Joe or I. Maybe he'd just gotten busy. But I missed him weirdly enough.
