"Im so glad youre back, I missed you," Mike looked at his girlfriend with a smile, she smiled right back at him "Im glad to be back, I missed you too." She gave him a peck on the lips,
"Well come on, were going to be late." He took Elles hand as they walked down the halls of Hawkins middle school. They walked inside sitting down at their desks. Will looked over to Max pretending to vomit, Max giggled. Mike looked over, rolling his eyes. This situation was secretly eating him up inside, having Elle and Max in the same room made him anxious, but he convinced himself it was just normal anxiety, "Class! Eyes up front please,"

"This week we're doing partner projects. You'll create a solar system diagram using only paper machete and paint, it'll be something you have to work on over the weekend and after school."
Mr Clarke smiled at his classroom, Max looked over at Will hoping they'd be partners, he was the only one who truly being nice to her.
"Maxine Mayfield and Micheal Wheeler,"
Mike put his head in his hands, he had always been able to control his feelings, but he couldn't around Max. He was worried he might say something he couldn't take back
"Looks like I'm with you Wheeler," Max laughed, Elle narrowed her eyes at the redheaded girl, "Yeah, Whatever.." He mumbled

"So what's the deal with this Max girl?" The party sat at their usual lunch table, but no Max.
"She's actually really cool, and funny."
"Not really, shes kind of annoying." Mike rolled his eyes, Dustin laughed "Says the guy who-" He was cut off by Mike giving him the death stare,
"Who what?" Elle crossed her arms on the table, and just with that Max walked over.
"Oh! Max, great! Can I speak with you?"
Will quickly stood up, "Uhh..sure?" Max said confused, he took her arm and led her out to the hallway where he leaned against the wall
"Elle's totally out for your blood."
"What?! Why? What'd I do?" Max questioned
"She clearly thinks you like Mike.."
"For the last time! I don't like Mike." She lied,
Will nodded at her "Well you're gonna be spending all week with him and she's always there! It's actually kinda creepy."
"Great, sounds like heaven." Max rolled her eyes

As the final bell rung Mike felt a warm hand on his "Does she gave to come over? Can't it just be
us for tonight.." Elle whined, Mike plastered a smile on his face before holding her hand back
"Yes. This project is worth a good percent of our grade so we really need to do good on it."
"Fineee. But I might pop by," She smirked at him, "Okay, well I have to find her. See you,"
Mike kissed her before walking out into the halls, he spotted Max at her locker, about to leave.
"Hey..you should probably come over so we can work on that stupid project.." Mike sighed
"Yeah, just let me tell my brother,"
"Brother?" He questioned, they had never really properly talked before "Yeah, he's an ass."

Max looked around the Wheeler household, it was nice and modern, unlike her own. "Welcome home Mike dinners on its way and-"
Karen looked at Max "Who's this pretty girl?"
Her face turned pink, Mike looked downwards
"I'm Max, me and Mike are science partners."
"How lovely, would you like to stay for dinner?"
"Oh, uh, sure." Max smiled, Mike did as well
"We have to work on our project, call us when dinner is ready." They walked off to Mikes room.
