Having Jungkook around was easy.

He arrived like the spring rain, when the trees had begun to grow anew and the season of cold had melted, had danced into lovely shades of hesitant greens of grass and quiet yellow of the peeking sun.

And just like how Seoul had slowly yawned, the city waking up from the drowsy sleep of winter coating its trees and rivers and streets, Jungkook's arrival in town changed everything anew.

He soon slipped into my world like a natural rhythm, joining our inner circle, fitting in seamlessly.

He'd sit with us at lunch, and play soccer with Taehyung and you. He'd offer Jin homemade snacks, and helped Hoseok devise plans to prank Yoongi. He'd watch movies with Namjoon, the ones no else wanted to see - and even got along with Chae-won over their mutual love for street food.

With me, he soon grew close.

It was a little unnerving, sometimes, how quickly I'd adjusted to Jungkook's presence - even during the first ever day we properly met, on the crowded bus.

I still remember it, even until now.

After he'd asked for my number and I'd given it to him, we were shy the rest of the ride.

Serendipity followed us all the way to the wide, wide roads as the bus Jungkook and I were on stopped a block from our school, both of us still blushing a little, both trying to ignore the pink tint on the other's cheeks.

Serendipity sat on our shoulders, trailed in our wake as we got off and walked step by step to the front doors. And even while we walked, we continued our discovery of one another, finding little coincidences along the way. Like how we both like the same author, or that our birthdays are only a week apart.

("Ha, I'm still a week older than you!" "Uh, no, Jungkook, it just means you're a week closer to your death.")

Serendipity wound around us, a web of happenstances and missed timings as we rounded the packed hallway towards our class.

And as we did so, my eyes locked onto yours.

It still amazed me how, even with all the people surrounding us, you are the first I would see.

You caught my gaze almost a second after I did yours, and a wide gaze slowly spread across your face.

The blood in my veins sung at the sight of you, and as if at their own accord, my feet ran towards where you are.

"Jimi-"

My words were lost in the expanse of your body as you enveloped me in a tight hug, all arms and your familiar warmth and my head fit into the crook of your neck and it made me fall in love with you all over again.

When you broke apart, your lips curved into a slight pout. "You were late today, I was waiting for you at the bus stop."
