Sometimes sadness just crawls into your mind
Sometimes it likes to make a nest there, out of pillows and blankets
It makes your head fuzzy
Sometimes it likes to veg out and binge watch Netflix
Sometimes it gets real cozy
Sometimes people see you as lazy
But sometimes you know, it gets tiring carrying around this needy weight
Sometimes it drains you before you've even awoken for the next day
Sometimes you feel all too breathless without ever even having inhaled
Sometimes it drowns you and floods over into your every move
Sometimes you don't even realize that it's been saying just one more episode for the past couple of months, years even.
Sometimes you forget it's there, it puts on headphones and the noise you heard is canceled out, for now.
