"Thank you for the memories" I read.
I felt bittersweet
I've always had a weird relationship with memories, I could live in them and only with them, forever, they bring me such comfort, but only at first.
Then they bring a bitterness, from knowing that moment can never be again.
But if you think just enough, the moment that is happening around you, will also never be, yet we value and cherish our past memories more fondly.
They weigh your heart with both fondness and bitterness. A tang of pain comes from them.
They leave you feeling bittersweet.
