Hey everyone. It's Kate, and today I'm going to talk about NaNoWriMo.
For those of you who don't know, NaNoWriMo is a writing challenge that starts on November 1st and ends on Novemeber 30th. In that time, participants are challenged to write a story with 50k words. So, in simpler terms, it challenges you to write a novel in a month. If you go at a rate of 1,667 words per day, you'll get it done.
I'm going to be participating this year, along with sad-isfy (go check them out they're great), and I'm inviting you to join us. It's a challenge, yes, but it will be fun. No matter what happens, there are only two outcomes you'll come out with: a novel, or the beginning of one. Neither of those are terrible.
So, please, if you're up for a challenge, join us, or spread the word to other authors you like. I really want to get as many people doing this as I can.
