Cait:

Cait stared at Sole as they started crying their eyes out. She was confused as to what to do; how do you deal with someone who cries so many times in one day.

“What you cryin’ for this time Sole?” Cait asked, hesitant for the answer. Sometimes asking that question caused the tears to fall harder and faster. Sole sobbed their answer.

“My.. My.. I miss my… bestest friend… they were Irish just.. Like.. you.” Cait furrowed her eyebrows, staring at the strange vault dweller who cried over just about anything.

Cait thought about answering, but thought better of it, knowing that answering- and Sole hearing her accent- could cause another wave of tears that Cait wasn’t prepared for. So instead, Cait sat down on the sofa next to Sole (but not too close) and softly rubbed Sole’s back.

Cait silently wondered to herself what would set Sole off next; the carrots being placed too close to the melons or the fact that the radstorms smelt too good.

Curie:

Curie wanted medical record for everyone that lived in any settlements that were connected to the minutemen. So that meant that Sole had to have their blood taken, so that if they needed a blood transfusion (it rarely ever happened- it was just a back up) then they knew which blood type matched. Only problem was that Sole was deathly afraid of needles and blood (not the best fear to have in the Commonwealth, they had once been told).

The day Curie was doing the bloods, Sole did everything in their power to completely avoid the area Curie was in. Sole ended up being the last one to get them done, and had to have Hancock and Nick hold them down whilst Curie got the blood. When the needle pierced Sole’s skin, they let out a cry of pain, and Hancock had to stifle a laugh as tears began falling down Sole’s face.

“Needles are ouchie” Sole told Curie is a small voice, holding back a sob. Curie moved over to her desk, labeling the vial whilst stifling a laugh of her own. Sole cried over everything.

Danse:

“SOLE”

Danse had wondered why other Paladins and Knights laughed at him as he made his way across the Prydwen. He’d wondered why when he turned around after being dismissed by Maxson he’d heard the Elder chuckling deeply to himself.

He walked to his room, taking off his power armour at his personal power armour station inside. He walked over to his desk and pulled out his tools, knowing that he needed to repair a arm on his armour. He walked around the back of the power armour, before abruptly stopping, face turning red. He pulled off the ‘Wide load’ and ‘Dancing Queen’ stickers that had been stuck onto the ass of his power armour, before turning and marching out of his door, looking for Sole.

He found them in the mess hall, finishing off a spoonful of mashed tato, and he threw the stickers onto the table next to their plate.

“How long Sole?” He grumbled to them.

“Two days” They replied, twinkle in their eye.

He told them to follow him, and lead them back to his private quarters, where he then proceeded to yell at them for ‘not following correct protocols’. His yelling quickly caused tears to begin pouring out of their eyes, and he instantly felt bad. He had forgotten that they cried over pretty much anything; including people shouting at them.

Deacon:

“Ah, no boss, don’t wanna go in there” Deacon called to Sole as they were about to take first steps into an underground sewer pipe.

“What, why?” They replied, turning quickly and taking steps towards him and away from the entrance.

“The tunnel snakes…” He thought quickly of a lie, and began to elaborate on it. “Big ass snakes- I think pre-war they were called worms? But now they are the size of tube-trains and eat humans. I know that location has been marked by Des as a no-go zone as the one that lives in there just eats humans right up. I’m surprised that their isn’t a warning sign on the door” It took everything in him not to laugh at Sole’s face, especially when they ran behind him, grabbing him by the shoulder as they looked over at the door. He couldn’t help himself. He laughed.
