I don't even know why I keep doing these little AN's before an updated chapter. Most of the time I don't even have anything to say. Anyway, enjoy!

It's been a week since Maya had broken up with Leo. Maya had successfully been able to avoid both Leo and Josh. Although it wasn't hard to avoid Leo since he was doing the same thing to her.Everyone at school had noticed that Leo and Maya wasn't doing there annual make out sessions at her locker almost everyday, they had noticed the frowns on both of their faces and the fact that if one came into the room the other one would walk out. It didn't take a genius to know that the most popular couple in school had broken up.
"Are you holding up okay?" Riley asked as she came to stand beside Maya's locker as people past and talked in hushed whispers as they looked at Maya. Maya shrugged her shoulders.
"Just accepting that this is my life." Maya said simply as she turned some pages in her notebook before closing it and putting it in her locker. Riley frowned as she payed close attention to the redness of Maya's eyes.
"Josh has been asking about you, he says you've been ignoring him. He seems to be really worried about you." Riley said. Maya scoffed as she nodded his head.
"I'm sure he is." She said sarcastically. Riley sighed.
"My grandparents want to have another meeting with you and Josh about your wedding. They seem to think it's time to get things on the move." Maya slammed the door of her locker causing some people to stop in the halls and give her looks.
"I don't really feel like having another meeting with your grandparents right now." Maya said as she looked over Riley's shoulder to see Leo staring at them before he turned his head back to his friend that he was talking to.
"Josh told them that you were busy with school and that's why you two haven't been seen together." Riley said as she leaned against the locker. Maya sighed.
"I'll talk to Josh tonight." Maya said as she gripped the books that were pulled to his chest.
"You better do something, I'm starting to think that Josh is starting to actually like you." Riley said. Maya bit her lip and shook her head.
"He would have to have a heart for that to be true." The bell rang causing both girls to sigh as they walked off to their next class.
As Maya walked in she was met by more whispers and please glaring at her. She didn't understand why people had been staring at her like this all day. She took her seat and tried to keep her gaze off of Leo who was busy glaring at the girls that were staring at Maya.
Class began and Maya couldn't help but feel weird as she kept hearing her name and Leo's coming up in the conversation behind her. She couldn't hear what they were saying over the teacher that was talking. It started to get on her nerves. As the class ended she gathered her books and walked out of the class she was met with a crowd of people.
"Did you really leave Leo for a college guy?" One girl that Maya recognized was in her Calculus class asked.
"W-what?" Maya stuttered in shock as she looked at all the people that was beside her.
"I can't believe that you would do something like that, Maya." Another girl said as she shook her head and walked out of the hallway.
"Talk about a slut." One guy said causing Maya to start feeling teary eyed. Suddenly Lucas and Farkle emerged from the crowd and stood in front of Maya.
"What did you just say?" Lucas asked angrily as the guy who had called Maya a slut.
"Everyone's talking about it! How you dumped Leo so you could marry into a rich family and finally have money to your name." Another guy said causing Lucas and Farkle to lunge at him.
Maya felt her whole world come crashing down. People thought she had broke up with Leo because she was some kind of gold digger. She felt the tears prickle her eyes as she turned around only to be met with Leo.
"Maya I'm-" but Maya didn't stick around to hear it.
"How could you." She whispered as she stepped back from his outreached hand.
"I didn't say those things, Maya!" He yelled. But Maya shook her head and ran out of the school as teachers were separating the fight that was currently taking place.
Maya ignored everyone. She ignored Riley calling her name, she ignored the names that were being thrown at her as she ran out of the school, she ignored the teachers calling after her, but she also ignored Cory Matthews as he stepped out into the hallway and stopped her from going any further.
"Maya, let me take you home." He said knowing there was no way she would be able to stay in school for the day. Maya broke out into a sob as she stepped back and shook her head.
"Everyone thinks that I'm a slut, that I broke up with Leo so I could marry Josh and take his family's money." Maya sobbed. Cory's heart broke for the girl that was like his second daughter.
"Please, let me and Topanga help you." He said as he reached out his hands towards her. Maya shook her head.
"I told you she would try and get special treatment from the teachers. I heard that Matthews brother was the one she's marrying." Someone said as they came from the hallway that Maya just did.
"Ms. Webber!" Cory yelled out in an authoritative way. Maya shook her head and took off running again ignoring Cory calling her name.
She ran and ran and ran until she ended up back at her apartment building that she knew nobody would be home at. Shawn had some work to do up in Manhattan and Katy was taking the afternoon shift over at Topanga's.
She ran up to her room, threw her jacket off and slammed the door shut before sliding down the door of her room and hiding her face in her hands. She started to fully let it out as she realized what her life was really like now.
No college, no boyfriend, no dignity, and now everyone in her school thought she was a gold digging, slut. She was about to have in laws that would control her life til probably the day she died if her and Josh's plan didn't work. But even if it did work, people would probably think that she was the one that filed for divorce since she gets to keep half of what's his.
Maya ignored the sounds of her phone going off with text messages and phone calls, she ignored the beating on her door as she heard her friends voices yell at her to let them in, she ignored everything as she sat there quietly breaking down.
