USTULATION; OF MEN AND ANGELS (II)
NICO STOOD SHAKILY, still trying to process the past five or so minutes – Lilith told him that he shared his blood with Lucifer himself, but wasn't Lucifer a fallen angel? One who didn't have tainted blood like Nico and Lilith did. Either the queen of hell didn't know the entire truth or she was just holding it from him – the latter of which is probably the truth since she was a demon, known for her lying and lustful ways.
The blond then proceeded to pocket his phone, and stared at the ground for a moment or two before looking away to the door that opened to reveal the lithe form of his best friend, who stood in the doorway looking somewhat annoyed and also somewhat concerned.
"Nic? Why are you hiding in here?" Eliza asked, with concern lacing her tone over her shaken-looking best friend, who had disappeared earlier to answer his phone or something that she didn't really pay attention to.
"I've been talking to a girl I met not too long along – what she called me about is none of your concern." Nico said nonchalantly, fully well knowing that his best friend will murder him if she found out about his communications with the queen of hell.
Eliza looked intrigued, "this girl, what's her name? What about your feelings for Alec and Magnus?" She really didn't want him to be falling back into his old tendencies of pushing aside his romantic feelings for his sexual urges and one night stands.
Knowing all of this, Nico just said, "my feelings for them are still there but Lily's my backup just in case." He knew this would satisfy her for now so he continued with a question, "so, Eliza, what brings you to this spare room in particular?"
"I was looking for you, idiot. Magnus needs all of our help, and needs your presence to calm him down for whatever reason that I don't get. All you do is stress me out, so why he thinks you can keep him calm, I have no idea." Eliza rambled to her blond friend, who only smirked and walked past her to join the others in the sitting room, where he sat down on the edge of the couch Luke was resting on, with Eliza standing not that far away from him.
Magnus glanced up at the full group gathered again and sends a small smile to Nico, who returned it with one of his own. "The bark will stop the transformation for now, but Luke needs an antidote to stop the poison in his system." The warlock paused for a moment, looking at each of them individually before continuing, "and I don't have all the ingredients here." Nico and Eliza glanced at one another before focusing back on the worrying warlock in front of them.
Clary glanced up and commented on his statement, "just tell me what you need and how to get in." Nico and Simon snorted and scoffed respectively, agreeing for once that Clary wasn't going to go anywhere without one of them, or she just doesn't get to go for reasons that aren't important enough to be explained at this moment in time.
