USTULATION; INVERTED WORLD (III)
"THE LOVERS, YOU ARE in a happy relationship," Clary glanced over to her brother, who had a frown on his formerly smiling face. He had, after all, complained the whole way there about not getting to see Alec for a few days and the first time he saw him she had to steal him away. She wanted to apologise, but frankly she didn't actually care about his complaints as she needed to talk to Magnus more.
She was confused though, on their way there she had told him about needing to see Magnus and he hadn't even known who he was. What confused her even more was when she brought up Pandemonium, he had never even heard of the place, although AU Nico probably wasn't even an alcoholic since he was still going to university and hadn't dropped out so that explained it.
"This man has a strong hold on you, you feel a magnetic attraction to him that you cannot escape." Nicholas couldn't help but smile, thinking of Alec, ignoring whatever his sister was doing, still annoyed at her for dragging him away from his beloved boyfriend.
"Tonight you will define your relationship." Nicholas really didn't know who Magnus was aiming this at but couldn't help wonder if the same would apply to his own relationship with Alec. Perhaps, they would take their relationship to the next stage, to the most serious stage of their relationship.
"You hope he is your soulmate, but secrets revealed will threaten to tear you apart." Nicholas snickered slightly at his sister's love struck face. Clary blinked slightly, glancing over to his brother.
"A disbeliever, are we?" Magnus asked Nicholas a little tauntingly, who only rolled his eyes in response, not liking confrontation.
"I'm not actually here for a reading." Clary spoke up, not wanting an argument to break out, despite the fact that AU Nico wasn't into confrontation, unlike the Nico she knew. "I know you're a warlock, Magnus." The man's face blanched, as Nicholas' eyebrows raised simultaneously.
"I'm a shadowhunter." Together the two men began to laugh, shaking their heads at the ginger girl. She was bare of runes – she looked as mundane as the rest of them.
"There aren't any more shadowhunters," Magnus told her, "haven't been for hundreds of years." Magnus started to tidy up his deck of tarot cards. He obviously thought that Clary was playing some sort of joke. "I'm sure your brother can tell you that." Clary looked at her brother, who nodded, affirming the warlock's words.
"I can prove it!" Clary jumped to her feet, moving her hair out of the way so that they could see her bare shoulder. Nicholas snickered, "you're a tad bit pale, aren't you? I think you need to spend a bit more time out of your dorm."
