Hanji's POV

My fingers ran over the scars from the blade... and each time I did that, I shuddered in fear. If Dad wasn't there... I... I would've been hurt badly... or Levi could've been killed. Holding back the tears, I wanted to cry my heart out. Wanting to release the pain that I felt on my skin. But alas... it was scarred on my skin, never to heal.

"Hanji..." Levi's voice attempted to comfort me... though it never did. May have been a month since that incident... "Come on... talk to me." All it did was to make me retract my arms into my lap. He sighs heavily and sits next to me, tapping my shoulder. "Hanji, please-"

"You wanna talk?" My voice turned cold, though I never wanted it to be that way. "Fine... how should I make these scars go away? How can... I handle watching you being beaten? H-How..." Soon, those tears started to form.

Levi sighs, pulling me close to his warm arms. "I... I can't help with that... nor can I even sympathize on how you feel... not anymore... but please, I'll do anything to try to make it up."

My arms were across my chest, sighing heavily. "I... I already feel exposed, Levi..." A tear drop started its journey down my cheek. "Seeing the therapist already and... I just feel... so exposed. You know? I just... I had to tell her everything."

A kiss on my cheek started to calm me down. "I'm not saying for you to expose yourself to me... I'm asking you what I can do for you. I know I can't do everything to resolve that problem... but listen to me. I'm your boyfriend... and I'm willing to do anything to help you." He kisses me once more, forcing a smile out. "Understand?"

Nodding, I fell into his chest, embracing his hug. "I understand..." His thumb wiped away all my tears. "T-Thanks..." Forcing a smile on my face,  I nuzzled deeper into his chest. "F-For everything. I'll tell you everything..."

"Anything for you, Hanji..." He kisses me once more, pushing me off. "Come on, don't you have to go to your therapist?"

"Y-Yeah... I do... but Levi... can you come with me? I-I don't want to be alone..." I take his hand, holding him tightly, hoping he wouldn't leave me.

He greeted me with a smile. "Alright... but I can't go farther than the waiting room, Hanji. You know the rules and the contract between you and your therapist. I can't go with you with the therapist. And you know that more than anyone else."

Chuckling softly, he managed to find anything to make me smile or make things impossible for us to be together. And this time... he found a loophole I could not talk myself out of. A sneaky... little... midget. That's what he was to me. "Alrighty... I understand." Smiling towards him, I felt... happy... that he was here for me. My bad boy...

Levi's POV

Sighing as I watched her disappear into the therapist's room, I couldn't help but feel completely useless. It was true... to me. I had to watch her go to the very room where she feels exposed, open, vulnerable...

And where was I? In the waiting room. Waiting for her to come. So... I watched the hours tick away. Soon, an hour passed and Hanji was walking out of the room, waving goodbye to her therapist. Her false smile faded as her real one appeared on her bright face.

Standing up, I took her hand, and we walked outside without uttering a single word. She knew fully I was there for her... and I know she would always take my word. But looking down at her scars... I couldn't help but blame myself for it all. David was after me... but decided the best way to break me was to hurt her... to scar her beautiful self.

Behind her chocolate eyes, I saw a void of sadness. Swirling constantly around... nothing else to give her light. And with every passing second... the void grew and consumed everything in her memories.

If I could be in her mind... I would fight everything with everything I got to protect the nerdy, shitty glasses/brat I love. And no one will ever take it away from me. If they do... consider them on a list no one ever wants to be on.
