"Hey man, wait up!"

The male said as he ran towards his friend who was already a good distance far from him, his short legs doing their best in order to catch up to the other

"Well then walk quicker would ya?" The brunette didn't even look back with his hands still in his pocket but the tone of his voice made it very evident that he was smirking

The shorter panted from exhaustion but still mustered up enough strength to whip his younger friend in the head as payback for his shenanigans, said male whining and saying that 'this is child abuse' or something along those lines

"You know, if you weren't so timid you'd be quicker"

"But mom doesn't let me out- which is nonsense since I'm older than you yet you still get to go to the park everyday!"

The younger rolled his eyes and slung his arms around his friend as he pulled him to continue walking

'The two were inseparable' Many would say

I mean, who could blame them? The moment their mothers made them play mates they became the bestest of buds, despite the unsettling amount of times the older whacked the brunette on the head for his actions, like what happened not too long ago, they always had each other's backs

They were currently walking to their usual hangout spot which is a bench facing the center of the park, tall and beautiful trees stood up high and colorful flowers painted the area, birds seen making nests and singing with their families, but the heart of the park was the pond, crystal clear water with some lily's floating atop, you'd see friends touch the water with their fingers and some teens taking pictures

But to the two, it meant something else, something way bigger and more important than the feeds of the teens taking selfless there

That was where they declared each other as best friends

The brunette could still remember it to this day, their smiles big and wide, even making nicknames for each other. The younger being 'con' and the older being 'kol', at first they wanted it "con and kon" But it'd be confusing, so the older settled for "kol" instead,  "con" being an inside joke to the two a few months ago

They tied two flowers onto each of their ring finger, both being the color yellow since the older requested it

"Let's make our friendship be filled with happiness! Mom always said yellow was a happy color!"

And that's when things became brighter for them, instead of being in the house all the time and playing the same games over and over, they finally had someone to go to other than their moms, not that they didn't love them, they just wanted a new friend

"Hey con, I hear mom calling me, she's at the stand thats selling lemonade, I'll be back okay?" Kol pat his shoulder and ran off to his mom who was about to ask for help with bringing the drinks home, they had visitors coming soon so they might as well buy them drinks while they're out there

Con sat at the bench and stared at the pretty pond that was shimmering from the light of the sun, but suddenly something else popped up, something surprisingly prettier and way more captivating than the pond
