Braylyn's POV

"CHRISTIAN!" I scream while jumping up from my sleep.

It was a dream, it was a dream.

I wipe the sweat from my forehead and pull the covers off of me. It was dark outside signifying it was night time.

Christian comes running into the room.

"Are you okay?" He asks

"Y-Yeah. I was just having a dream." I answer

"Did you remember something?" He looks at me intently

"Not much, we were on the phone and everything went black then I started screaming your name over and over." I say looking down

"It's okay." He says coming to sit next to me.

His scent fills my nose, easing my nerves.

"I'm sorry about earlier today." He apologizes

"It's okay, Im just not used to people and their way of thinking, since I've been by myself for so long."

"You don't have to be alone anymore...let me help you make it to California."

"U-um don't you have a little sanctuary to run and let's not forget about your girlfriend."

He sighs

"I can take a group of us to escort you to California."

"Why are you willing to take that big of a risk for me?"

"You might be the key to all of this shit." He says

Maybe I should just tell him. I can trust him.

"You're right." I respond

"Huh?" He questions

"I am the key. I found about a month ago...I was bit." I say pulling up my shirt and showing him the bite mark on my stomach.

He face went blank as he lifted his hand up. His fingers lightly brushing over the healing bite mark.

As his fingers made contact with my skin some more. My vision began to blur and the ringing came back.

"Braylyn, Will you be my girlfriend?"

"I miss you babyyyyy!"

"HAHA! Kiss me."

Coming back to reality, by Christian shaking me.

"You okay?"

"I remembered something." I say with tears in my eyes

"What was it?"

"You were my boyfriend."

A silence fell into the room.
